4 more losses in a row and you're talking about very likely falling to 8 seed by the end of the season. We need to win now and hold on to HCA for at least the first round. Plus, we need to stay ahead of Cleveland because they would be the team we would possibly meet in playoffs. Look at our home record. Now look at our road record. HCA matters. Only the 95 Rockets have won 4 rounds without HCA and they got really lucky along the way (Barkley's missed free throws, Nick Anderson's missed free throws)
You are responding here to a pregame that i wrote before the information presented today. I still believe that if Aldridge is indeed hurt he needs to sit until healthy. Batum has a bad back. he needs to sit until healthy. Kaman has a bad shoulder he needs to sit until healthy. The point of getting Home court is absolutely useless if this team is limping into the Playoffs. Simple as that!

It simply doesn't make sense to say they aren't hitting their threes the day after they shoot 15/34. Timing!!
Okay Kingspeed i really like you and know you love this team so i will do the work and show you what this team is shooting right now. Going to take a bit so i'll be back with links to prove me right or wrong.

Goes like this King. In the last 6 games bolstered by the one good game they had against Golden State the Blazers are shooting 53-161 on three point shots. the lone 44% game of 15-34 was in the middle of 8-28 vs the Wiz, 10-26 vs the Heat, 7-24 vs Orlando, 6-22 vs Memphis and of course tonight 7 of 27 vs the Jazz.
Right now the Blazers are not shooting the 3 ball real well.
They are sitting at 32% during that span but if i take out the one good game they drop down to 29%. That is not good at all.
. Timing!!

It seems freaky that Crabbe once again starting resulted in a win. I wonder if Stotts didn't do that last night in order to keep his record (I believe undefeated) when starting knowing we would lose regardless lol.

That's what I posted earlier this game, and last game. McCollum gets all the praise because points are more noticeable, but Wright plays a Batum-like rounded game.

Boy has your tune changed on Wright.

D-Wright has been a calming VET influence on the team for two years now. He's having a bigger impact this year, but Wright did win games for the Blazers last year. Not to mention in game 2 playoffs vs the rockets. Where he was a HUGE reason why the Blazers went up 2-0 on the Rockets.

Finally. Dame looked pissed in the fourth quarter.

Encouraged by what Wright and CJ are doing over the last few days. Add them to the Kaman we saw early this season, and we have a decent bench unit.

Now, we have to do something about Afflalo who looks lost.

I agree Afflalo looks a bit lost. I often see him reverting to "Nuggets" ball. He's been around a few teams, but I think the Blazers system is new to him and it's taking a while to fit in with the starters. As a sixth man with a green light -- which is what we traded for -- he was perfect for us. I'm optimistic he'll get acclimated in time for the playoffs.

I agree on Afflalo. He still looks out of sync. IMO he needs to slow down. I want him to keep attacking the basket, but he gets himself into trouble too often when he does because his teammates don't seem to know where to go to help create a passing lane. Too many variations of lineups due to injuries since he has been here.

Yep. He sometimes panics when he's posting up... but he'll be fine.
