Don't know if it got mentioned, but Schonz did a rendition tonight. Not the anthem, though. But it was BEAUTIFUL. They never told us, and boom, there's Schon singing. It was amazing.

I'm sure he's done it before, right?

A rendition of what?

I gotta tell ya. I was a little irritated with the defense that was going on from Lillard early on in the game, along with his dribble pick-ups and errant cross court passes. I hope that shit gets cleaned up as we enter the playoffs, because that was just not good. CJ looked like he had an off night, but I'll give him the pass tonight, because he's still relatively new to playoff type basketball.

Other than that, I really loved the hustle and effort from our guys. Ed Davis and Harkless just going bananas.

Otherwise known as Lillard time.

Lillard Time - Definition: A point in the game that Damian Lillard takes over a game for a time. Whether that is in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. It is not reserved for just the clutch moments.

OK.

Yes, he sings America the Beautiful at one game every year. This is the first time he did a jazz version though!

This was fantastic and made it one of the best games i've ever gone to. When he jazzed it up, it was truly something special. Being a musician, I appreciated this like few others.

Nice change up in the line up Stotts has to be preparing for the playoffs. I do like Von up side but he not ready for playoffs. Very good win and Davis was a beast and she be giving the game ball.

Aminu needs to chill on threes. It's getting bad.
Unless Aminu is wide open, in the corner, with feet set when he catches the ball, toes pointed toward the basket, in perfect rhythm and using his best form, he shouldn't shoot them. And even then, only because that's the offense and the person manning that position has to take that shot.

Harkless needs to shoot 1000 threes a day all summer. Stotts' offense demands he get better at that shot. And we need him.

Didn't you hear? LeBron leaving Cleveland because he unfollowed them on twitter.

LeBron to Portland confirmed!
Damn I was hoping for Durant. We need someone to compliment Dame, not take the ball out of his hands and kill our offensive rhythm while the rest of the team stands and watches LeBron fail in the closing moments of games.

;)

Listened to the game while out and about last night, it was so weird to head Wheels dispassionately calling Wes "Matthews" during the PBP. And dude lit the Blazers up, damn, I miss him.

He passed up a couple early in the game where he was wide open and you could tell he thought twice about it. After that he did not seem to hesitate. I wonder if Terry told him not to hesitate. As Blue9 pointed out a couple were against the shot clock (one was Plumlee's fault) but I agree if he is going to shoot them he needs to only do it from where he shoots the best percentage. I think you are right about it being in the corner.

As for Harkless, I think he took a 1000 three's a day last summer, but I agree he needs to keep at it. His form at least looks good, so I am holding out hope. But to be honest he does not seem to have a mid range game either, so until he adds something other than a dunk to his repertoire, his minutes will continue to be inconsistent with Terry. But I love his hustle points, it is something we have lacked for a while.

Kind of surprised he played 41 minutes. I did not notice him as much in the 2nd half. He still works his ass off to get open. And when he was open..... he was money.

I guess the obvious thing everyone is seeing is that at the SF position the Blazers need help. That and the PF position. Continue to build on what they have and pick a player that can work both of those positions and they might really take off.
That or just sign Durant.

Nicolas Batum? He can hit the corner three.

So where is the Stott's approval thread for making the necessary changes that some here say he is unable to do?

The hate flows when mistakes happen, but those same people are pretty silent when things are done right. I love it man!!!! :)

We still need to switch up our end-of-game plan when we have the lead. Stalling and getting a tough shot off at the shot clock buzzer has not been kind to us.

I think Moe's form looks awful to be honest

Stotts did what he should've done and what was obvious to everybody. We really need to applaud him for not switching guards onto Dirk? That's like saying we need to applaud Lillard everytime he doesn't throw a pass at someone's feet.

Both those things are so bad that fixing them doesn't deserve applause

I missed the game again... Did we do anything different to defend Dirkle?

OK it more of a set shot and may not be as sweet as Dame , Cj or Crabbe's. But compared to Aminu's, it's short and compact, with less room for error. I don't think it is awful.

It's not the fact that it's a set shot.

He leans one direction. He's off balance all the time. He puts too much weight on one foot and doesnt use his legs to power the ball.

He flings it forward. Since he doesn't use his legs, he relies on his arms. However, his follow through is too low and he doesn't flick his wrist, meaning he has little touch on the ball. He also doesnt follow through fully and his follow through isn't straight.
