Yeah. The lack of an extra shooter is still pretty easy to see. Someone for CJ and Dame to kick out to as they draw pressure. But when Aminu and Moe are hitting their threes we look so much better.

Trouble was we still were getting some good shots, but none of them fell - and then we didn't get back on defense. Our defense was so good in the first, gave them way too many good looks in the second.

The thing is, it's not that our bench isn't good... It's that it's super inconsistent. Houston is so great because they have a bench that fills roles consistently. Eric Gordon is gonna show up almost every single night. P.J. Tucker is gonna defend and junk up every game. Mbah A Moute is gonna provide the 3-and-D every game, and Anderson is gonna space the floor and hit shots (I forget which one they start). Nene is one of the most solid backup bigs in the game.

For us.. Turner is awful as often as he is effective. Shabazz, when he's not hitting jumpshots, is absolutely pointless, as he can't get to the rim and isn't a great defender or facilitator. Collins is a 20-year old rookie.

Gotta limit the easy looks for Adams too - he's got 14 on 6-7 shooting, and obviously nothing from beyond 4'.

So. We dump some of them this offseason and go get more consistent players. Pat and Shabazz are free agents and probably won't be back anyway.

If the bench continues to come up empty , this team is in bad shape going forward. I just don't get how they played so well, now they can't hit the broadside, except for a shot by Shabazz, and a shot by Zac. Has to change. This is two straight games where they've either lost the whole lead, or lost most of it. Has to improve. Except for that, good effort, and good turn around after blowing huge lead. Go Blazers!!
