Gut feeling: how many wins will the Blazers notch on this 3-game road trip (vs OKC, N.O., & MEM)

Bench: 0-7 from 3 pts land.
Bench: 8 total points tonight.
Is this solid to you? This is pathetic to me.
The bench did not score well no. But Ed and Collins and Pat were all solid on defense and Turner stood tall in the face of adversity. He did not wilt when the heat was on. In the second half the bench traded baskets and pushes with the OKC starters.

Theres a huge difference offensively. Teams changed the way they defend our pick and roll because they don’t have to worry about a shooter like Crabbe. Connaughton shooting 35% or whatever is not impressive considering his shots are almost always open, set looks. We ran actual plays for Crabbe off flare screens. I haven’t seen one of those called for Connaughton.
They need to start getting him that shot. I agree. I would like to see that.

If we're imagining, why not Bradley Beal? Or even James. Harden? They'd be great off our bench.
What have you been smoking tonight?

Courtney Lee is someone who's actually attainable as an aging vet on a rebuilding team making a good deal of money that fits perfectly within our traded player exception.

Sooo, are we OKC’s ‘Houston’? Sure feels like they treated that game like we did Houston and in the end they were forced to measure up and just couldn’t.

Courtney Lee would actually fit pretty good. Not a bad idea. Wonder if they could make it work?
Another thought i am having is Paul Allen has said recently it is never going to be about money. My thinking is this team will pay for a championship if the opportunity arises. Well guess what? The opportunity is starting to arise. Let Neil have another summer and let this team keep playing well. I think they are closer than most believe.

Pat is really slumping with his shot, but I do appreciate his efforts on defense, and getting offensive rebounds. His keeping the ball alive, as well as Dame doing the same, helped make up for some poor shooting. I think Pat's shot will come back. Shabazz' shot is getting closer to being back.

Pat is definitely slumping no question. Bazz has a bad Toe. His shot seems to be off. A toe could do that.

Team's do matchup well against certain teams. But I feel Portland can beat Houston. Just need to stay with Nurk in crunchtime. Harden was lights out from three point range, so was Paul, while Dame and CJ were cold. I just don't look at Houston as unbeatable.

Wow. Read thread later. So busy today doing home stuff didn't even realize there was a game. Checked espn, up big after one. Then a bad second and still pulled it out. Can't wait for the highlights.

Just got home. Didn't have a chance to catch the game. Sounds like it was a hard fought win.

Looking at the box scores, the +/- of the starters vs. the bench really jumps out. Way to go starters! And 4 blocks by Harkless? Wow. I like to see that. Those are just all energy stats. Good for him. And another double-double for Nurk. Nice!

With the remaining schedule: @NOP, @MEM, LAC, MEM, @DAL, @HOU, @SAS, @DEN, UTH, I think 5-4 is reasonably within reach to get to that 50 win mark, and most likely home court advantage in the playoffs.

I wonder if they would consider Turner+Our 1st+A Future 2nd for Lee?

Send out Meyers with a couple future 2nds to Chicago and then we might have our full MLE.

Moe Harkless has been great. He's always been a good defender, but now he's shooting the three at 41.6% on the year on top of it. Hopefully this is a lasting thing, because the Blazers are so much better with Harkless locked in like he is.
