Neither should've been fouls IMO. Davis is going straight up against Dame. I guess they thought Nurk stepped into Davis and stopped him from jumping..

That one Davis jumped into him. Refs aren't doing a poor job, Davis is just really good at going straight up and Dame just flings his body into the defender so it looks like he's being hit hard, but Dame is initiating most of the contact.

When the shots aren't falling, you have to make up for it somewhere. Hustle is the most controllable facet of the game.

Kinda want to see some Zach at C if Nurk picks up an early 4th. Let Zach get more burn than normal this half.. He's shown that he can get hot and get into a groove on both sides of the ball when he plays more than a 4-5min stretch.

Refs have been fine. Normally I complain but Dame's flying into defenders who are going straight up. It's mostly Dame. Lately he's gone back into a Harden-esque "Draw the Foul" mode.

When he tries to score, he usually draws more fouls, and scores more.

I wonder how worn out he was after carrying the team to that win. Almost every shot has been short. Needs to get loose and get warm during the halftime break.

Even with a loss, we're still in a great position, but if we win, it'll all but gauruntee the 3 seed (unless we lose a bunch of games we should win).

I'm not. Dame should get more calls sometimes, but I'm fine with how many FTs he's taking.

But Zach doesn't have to hit shots to be effective like Pat (well, Pat makes hustle plays so he can still be effective, but hitting shots is more of a factor of his overall production compared to Zach's). I like Zach protecting the rim. We haven't seen much of him protecting the rim because he's usually guarding a stretch or perimeter-oriented four, so he's not in the paint. He and Aminu could both be good options to guard Davis.

We could try something weird and put Turner on Okafor, Aminu on Holiday, and Collins on Davis, or some combination like that, providing switchability between Collins and Aminu on Davis and Holiday (Holiday isn't as quick as most PGs, instead he scores a lot off of his size and craftiness. Zach doesn't really get fooled when guarding the perimeter and I think could do a serviceable job on Holiday).

If they're playing Davis at C, you could have Turner guard the 4-man (Diallo, Miller, or whatever undersized 4 they put there) and let Aminu guard Holiday, providing the same switchability.

I think it means a loss because it'd be a huge boost in locking up the 3-seed. Would like the team to get some rest before the playoffs.

The other option is Meyers. I'd rather have Collins there. His playing time has been a little sporadic, so it might be a good idea to get him a little extra burn that might get him playing better in a situation that is a good one for him.
