Jusuf took a giant Bosnian BM all over Mike Malone tonight.

From what I've read on the Nuggets forum, it seems like their fans at least mostly understand that Nurk and his former teammates are cool with each other, and his problem is with the coach. Plumlee isn't soothing their wounds, either. Too bad, he's a good man.

Let's sign Mase to be our backup C next season.

I dub them the Tri-Force!

My father's go to complaint about the Blazers has always been "35 years and they can't find center to replace Walton. LaRue Martin and Sam Bowie. What a joke!"

Now when my old man comes home from playing tennis every other day, I am waiting on the phone...

"Hey Pops, how things goin? I just wanted to call you and let you know the Blazers have a CENTER!"

"OH HA HA HA!"

It's better than any drug I know!

You should tell your dad that LaRue Martin was drafted before Bill Walton.

No. I liked Mason, but he's so limited in his game. Plus, he'd cost a lot and the team has no cap space.

Maybe trade Leonard first and see if there is a way.

That is the saddest picture I've ever seen in my life.

In hindsight, I wish we had traded Meyers and kept Plums as a backup. Obviously, I think everyone here agrees that would have been a win for us; especially landing Nurk on top of it. I know people would have said "but Denver wouldn't be that stupid"....ummm, do you still feel that way now? (EDIT: I forgot about Plums payday coming up this off-season).

I saw a brief clip on the sidelines during the game. Pat went to put his mattress on the bench and sit down. Meyers shoved him out of the way with his forearm and put his mattress down instead.

Tells you all you need to know about Meyers. Bullying smaller guys over bench position? How much lower can you get, Butters?

Come on, he was probably joking. We can shit on Meyers the player all we want, he deserves it, but he genuinely seems like a good teammate. Just watch him on the bench. He's the most vocal one, always yelling out plays and encouraging guys.

I wlll. Think he's more concerned with remembering his serve after a lifetime of work at this poit though.

I saw that too. They were joking around. Why does everybody have a hard on about painting Meyers as a bad PERSON?

Who the hell thinks Meyers is a bad person? I can people wishing he had some Laimbeer-like qualities. But he's a sweetie who let's his dog run through press conferences.

Alright, alright......I just think he overcompensates for his lack of self-esteem and low self-confidence with arrogance, which in turn makes him into a giant douchebag. And that in itself wouldn't be so terrible....if he could back it up on the court. Which of course...he can't.

Personally, I think he's a major douchebag. I know what I'm talking about: he reminds me a lot of a buddy of mine who had the same problems: couldn't do anything right in life and had horrible self-esteem issues, which he overcompensated with by making everything about him.

Meyers reminds me of that. Does that mean he's a "bad person"? No; I don't believe that. But I think he's a douchebag all the same.

I've got no problem with Meyers. He seems cool to me. I'm a bit concerned about the rumor that he has a couple of bulging discs in his back though. I still think he has a place on this team with his contract as well.

I'm a Meyers hater....er realist, so I don't want this to come off as combative.

What about his play has made you think he has a place on this team?

Towel waving and bench celebrations ?
Well actually he's not even good at that, his celebrations are super cringy

He has great size and can play some defense. He's also very athletic. I know he looks lost out there at times, but you just don't find guys with that size and athleticism out there. I also think his teammates like him.

....I'm sorry, but you're going to have to give a better answer than that, lol. His terrible play overshadows the positives you mentioned.

Also, I don't think CJ likes him. I've seen the looks CJ gives him when he fucks up, and even to the point of giving him the cold shoulder....subtly, but still.

Have you ever met Meyers before? Where are you basing this off of? I've met him a couple times and both him and his wife are some of the nicest people...the dude lacks confidence on the court. We've all seen it, if he hits his first shot he has at least a decent game...if he comes out and misses then it usually isn't pretty.

The $10M/year he makes isn't you guys' money. You can attack him all you want for on the court stuff but for people to say hes a bad person or a douchebag is just typical internet pussy bullshit.

ML really have limit his play what he does on the court with his injuries. Yes he not best big man in league and I think he shouldn't be playing with his injuries because he doesnt help the team and doesn't help his health at all. He seem like a good guy but I would hate to see him having problems with his health latter in life. Basketball is not everything in life but being able to walk down the street without pain when you get older and be able with your kids without pain that to me is life.
