Is this the most pivotal Blazers' regular season game in the past 5 years?

To tell the truth, this is the first game I am really excited about in months.

I keep hearing about how we have an easy schedule and it looks like we play Utah twice, Houston, San Antonio and New Orleans. I think this game is a big one.
Minnesota twice more. Last 4 games at home. Only 2 more road games left.

I don't like that Denver got embarrassed in their last game. I would have preferred that they lost a heartbreaker. Teams in the NBA
usually respond well to an ass kicking. This is going to be a very tough game.

I feel like Nurkic is either going to have the best game of his career or the worst game of his career, no in between.

Hmm, his best game he had 28 pts, 20 reb, 8 ast, 6 blks and 2 steals.
Arguable his worst was 3 fouls, 1 turnover and no other stat to speak of.
I'll take the in between. What do you think, bet $10,000,000?

The two Jazz games will be tough as they are in a battle with the Clippers and Thunder for HC in the first round, Currently they have 2 game lead in the loss column. The road game with them will be a loss for sure.
Why? We've won 5 of our last 6 road games. We can absolutely win in Utah.
I'm aware of the relative ease of finding alt-streams on the inter webs. It's the principle of it that irks me and I don't like trying to set up a vpn and looking on sketchy sites for an extra pixelated janky stream.
Dude. It is what it is. You're buying pizza, they're giving you pizza, and you're whining that it's not ice cream. If you want to watch EVERY GAME live, you need TNT, ESPN, NBATV, and League Pass. You also need local TV for local games. It's that simple. That's what I have. I watch all the games. NOW, if you don't care about seeing the games live, you can see EVERY GAME, EVEN the ones on TNT, ESPN, and NBATV, on the League Pass archive about an hour or two after the game ends. That is pretty awesome if you ask me. I also believe all of the playoff games are archived too.

I feel like Nurkic is either going to have the best game of his career or the worst game of his career, no in between.

You think Nurk will play better than 28/20/8/6/2?? I think he can have a fine game without it being that good.

Yeah I don't see how we have it so much easier either.

Compared to Denver our opponents have a higher average winning percentage. We have 4 games against teams over .600, Denver has 1. We have 4 games I consider to be very tough, Denver has 3 and I'm being generous, given that one of those is a home game against OKC.

Really the only thing in our favor is the number of home games which seems to be what everyone is fixated on. It won't be easy, winning tomorrow is huge. Hope the crowd brings it.

The game against philly was not nurkics best as a blazer, despite the monster stat line. His best game was against the thunder at home imo. Was a much tougher matchup.

A game to really root for the good guys! Great to have something on the line to play for...we're peaking at the right time...I'll bet the Spurs rest starters against us when we play them

It will depend on the standings. I think Pop really wants HCA over the Warriors this season. I don't think he feels his team needs it so much as that he sees lack of HCA as a psychological weakness of the Warriors.

I think it's more likely he rests his starters against LAC on April 8, the game before the Spurs play us. That game is the second night of an away and home back-to-back. They have the night (4/9) before they play us off. Combine that with resting his vets again the Clippers on 4/8, and they should be well rested when they play us on the 10th.

Like when you're eating Chinese food. You're either full or starving, nothing in between.

I think he needs to not get too hyped up; he seems to play better when he is a little relaxed.

It might come down to tomorrow night. GS@ SA
A Spur win makes it 1 game separating them. We need that margin to be 3 when they play us...... with 2 games left.

The Warrior game against the Spurs is a 2nd of a back to back. Tonight they play @ Houston.
A loss tonight and it will go down to the wire between the two.

He seems to have his head on straight:

Nurkic said the game is big because of the playoff implications, but it's not a grudge match for him.

"I have no issue with (the Nuggets)," Nurkic said. "I appreciated what the organization did for me. I'm not a guy to make a drama on that. I'm not focused just about Denver. I want to win every game."

If he does start to get a little wound up, he has Stotts and game to remind him it's just another game, do your job, play your game, don't make it personal, play as a team, win as a team.

Blazers with many more games at home but a tougher Strength of Schedule. It might help if near the end, the Spurs can't do any better than 2nd (Pop will rest players) and OKC is still battling for the #5 spot so they are playing to win.

4 pages and the game hasn't started yet. Boy aren't we excited!!!! :)
