Post Game: Congratulations!!! The Celtics had two days off, excelled in the first half but THE BLAZERS D prevailed. The Mc Collum to Aminu skip pass for the score was an example of how our D triggered the win. #40 party skeletens.gif

Dame and CJ are averaging 48.2 ppg in Blazer wins this year. They combined for a season low 29 points against SAC last game (blow out win), and only 31 points tonight.

Although its frustrating to see them struggle to score, it is nice to see the team find other options to score and pull out the wins.

Lets hope that Dame and CJ get into a good shooting rhythm when the playoffs start! If not, it's nice to know others can step up.....

hopefully these king of games will reinforce to Dame that he can trust his team mates and when he is off or has someone guarding him like Avery he does not have to force things, that was a great win

The only way this teams win is playing as a team. Dame has to trust his team mates there so many superstar doesn't trust his team mates Lebron and Kobe in his prime don't trust there team mates. The spurs win championship for the simple they play the right way as a team. I know why I mention the spurs boo boo on me. First of all I am blazer fan but I also basketball fan.

I'm here. You know how I feel. But hey the playoffs looks like a lock at the point hopefully it's worth it and we go far

The question is will a pick outside the top 10 (but still in the lottery) make the Blazers go any farther? Do we need a another young athletic wing who has potential but can not shoot, we already have that in Harkless. (Plus we have Crabbe and Montero)

What young PF in the draft is better than Vonleh? Part of me wants to participate in the lottery, but it's hard to get to excited about this draft. Yes there is the possibility that we could get lucky with our draft pick. but i think we can get just as lucky with players who don't get drafted. There seems to be a few every year that excel. And there is only so many roster spots available for young developing players to sit and learn on the end of a bench.

They've been overused so much this year they might be damaged goods at this point. All the talk about rest the last week is stupid. They have accumulated fatigue that won't go away easily. Rest and pacing players needs to happen throughout the season not in one or two games at the end of the season. Hopefully its a lesson we can learn next season. It's been a constant theme of Stotts coaching tenure here that his big minute starters are completely gassed by the end of the season and ineffective.

Victories are always sweet.

You guys all ganging up on Tunchi need to take of the Rose tinted glasses for a while.
Lillard has played like utter garbage lately. Poor shot selection, terrible, apathetic defense - ill-advised passing.

Tunchi is telling what he sees - and I see it too.
Dames a great guy, and a great player - but he's not infallible.
He's played his guts out and probably needs a game or two off for rest before the play-offs.
When he stops predicting losses at the beginning of games I'll take him off ignore...this isn't Tunchi just calling what he sees...he's been doom and gloom since before the allstar break and when Dame has great games he disappears...I can now follow a game thread without constant whining...it's not rose colored glasses...it's about having a positive game experience for me...when he stops ganging up on Blazer players...not only Dame..I'll see your point, until then..I solved the Debbie Downer syndrome.

Great win by the Blazers! When we get production from a 3rd scorer; Aminu, Crabbe or Hendo, it really makes this team a nightmare to defend. Glad we won't have to face this defense again this year. This was a good test though; the Clippers have been excellent trapping and taking Dame out of the offense and I expect much of that in the playoffs.

I'm seriously considering if Avery Bradley is the best guard on either roster. Such a game changer on defense and still very effective offensively. He wins his matchup against every allstar. Not sure what that team needs to get to the next level but Bradley and Crowder are a hell of a two way duo.

Appreciate that bro.. Idk how many times I tell these guys I LOVE DAME and all but hes too feast or famine for my liking. But if I say that its I'm a hater. I'm not even saying trade the guy or anything but I just love consistency from our star player is that so hard?

Also I'm not big on making the playoffs this year as everybody knows. To me all our players for the exception of the 14th and 15th man has been in the playoffs and had pretty significant roles in them. I Know we won yesterday and facing the clips is SLIGHTLY a better chance to upset them than say OKC but its going to be a quick series that I see really no benefit of losing a value asset FOR THIS YEAR.

I say we go for the kill nxt year and really start our window. But hey its all good when the first round is over people will wish we had a pick to talk about and will remember what I said..

I look at it as what do we have a better chance in. Going to the playoffs and winning the championship OR keeping our pick and hitting a homerun with a solid selection (or trade).. I think everybody in here knows what odds are better for us..

Heres a clue, we aint wining a ring this year..

I never predicted losses. Please show me. The one time I did, I was right. I'm a huge Blazer fan but I'm also very practical to know THIS SEASON HAS ALREADY BEEN A MAJOR SUCCESS so why lose an asset? But hey do your think pops..

Avery would be a great addition to any team. He really is great. But equally as important is the 5'9" Thomas. His shooting percentage might not be great but Boston got better once he joined their team. He gives them that go to player, that every team needs. It always amazes me how effective some small players can be on offense. And it's not like team abuse him on D either.

I'm not much of a fan of Thomas; on that team he makes tons of sense because they are dieing for a scorer who can create his own shot. But there's a couple dozen guards in the league who would be that productive. If Lou Williams is there I think he does all the same good things.

This whole season he's had major problems in crunch time when opponents put a big defender on him. Cavs did it with Shumpert. We did it with Crabbe.

So I don't put his value anywhere close to Bradley or Crowder. He might be important to that team because they don't have an alternative to Thomas on the roster today. But theres plenty of those guys throughout the league. There isn't any other player like Bradley out there and very few defensive physical scoring wings like Crowder.

I thought we were fortunate that Aminu, Crabbe and Hendo hit so many outside shots. That's what helped us pull away initially.

I know we are all on a high from Aminu's 6/11 shooting from 3, but you're not getting that every night, even if all of his shots are wide open. We saw what happened in Dallas...

He hit 63% from three in the playoffs?

I know turner isn't much of a 3 point threat, but I would love to nab him somehow. He actually reminds me of Batum.

Yeah I was thinking of him earlier. I could see Evan Turner and Bismack Biyombo be our two lunch pail free agent signings that impress nobody. We need a defensive center and a defensive wing who can create. We sign them for ~$6 million each and they end up following the Ed Davis/Aminu/Lopez blueprint of being bargains on their contracts.

We say goodbye to Kaman and Cliff, bring back everyone else on the roster and we're set for next year.

Biyombo - Plumlee - Meyers
Aminu - Davis - Vonleh
Harkless - Hendo - Turner
CJ - Crabee - Pat
Dame - Roberts - Montero

I guess you have better odds with a scratch off ticket, then with the power ball. But still does it really matter either way? Are either really going to let me retire now?

I LOVE how you just assume ( know ) we wil be facing the clips! :) im with ya.

Tunchi, we love ya even if we hate ya. :) I know Stren even has a soft spot for ya. So does HailBlazwers. :)

I think the biggest difference though is your insistance that making the playoffs isn't an asset. Experience is an asset.
So we already have had a successful season? Why not try to continue that in the post season? Why try to regress back to the draft?
Is that young body that will do no more than blend in with all the young bodies we already have provide any type of improvement beyond the mental toughness making the playoffs can create? The confidence this team weill gain when we give the clips a challenge?
The draft pick will not give us anything we cant get in FA and trade in the offseason.

I think your going to have to accept that most here believe the playoffs is a greater asset than the pick at this point. You may not agree, but your gonna have to accept that as the majority viewpoint.

And PS. I noticed you liked one of my posts!!!! ;)

So Bismark is finally playing well? He is awfully long even though he only measured in at a little over 6.8.
Is he still raw on offense. I can't help but wonder how much better he is than Cliff.....

Just wait till the season is over you'll see a more homer Tunchi. Right now I'm just conflicted at this point of the season (playoffs or asset)

Enjoy the weather brother

You guaranteed a loss in the Clippers game bruh. That's a prediction.

And NO ONE is going to miss the pick EXCEPT you. We get it next year.

Learn something for once. But that will never happen.

He's having a great year; basically playing like Ed Davis.

I was right about that prediction. Just remember I make predictions only when I know it will be right
