:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS GAME NOTES

• Saturday marks the third and final regular season matchup between the Trail Blazers and Pelicans in 2014-15.

• The Trail Blazers have won both of their games against New Orleans this season. Portland won 102-93 against Pelicans at home on Nov. 17, and 114-88 in New Orleans on Dec. 20.

• Portland has won four straight contests and 10 of its past 13 games against New Orleans dating back to the start of the 2011-12 season.

• In Portland’s 114-88 victory over New Orleans on Dec. 20, LaMarcus Aldridge posted 27 points on 12-0f-20 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds.

• That 26-point victory over the Pelicans on Dec. 20 is Portland’s largest margin of victory this season.

• LaMarcus Aldridge has scored 20+ points in four straight games against New Orleans, averaging 25.5 points on 45-of-88 shooting (51.1%) during that stretch.

• Portland rallied from a 16-point deficit to defeat New Orleans, 102-93, in the first meeting between these two teams on Nov. 17.

• In that game, Damian Lillard recorded team-highs with 24 points and seven assists.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 21-19
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 13-6
AT THE PELICANS: Pelicans lead, 13-8

GREAT question. I really had to think about it. LMA is better NOW, but AD is the future, IMO.

Happy Easter!

This being a Sunday game for me, I will be scoffing chocolate eggs before, during, and after the match.

The Pelicans are a disappointment IMO. With a healthy team they can put a starting lineup of Holiday, Gordon, Tyreke, Davis and Asik. That's a very solid starting lineup and if they can get healthy and strengthen their bench a bit, they'd be a good team next year.

Keep in mind that they are being coached by Nate Lite.

I been saying this for awhile. This team has a squad and should be much better than what it is. Personally the coach must be garbage or something

Well I was going to be at the 200 level for this game until food poisoning happened.
Might not even get to watch it now.
Guess that's what happens when you get fast food.

DUDE. I just got over the worst of my food poisoning last night. I feel for you so much right now. Sorry you're having to go through that!

I would like to see CJ and Gordon covering each other. Hard to believe Gordon is only 26. (7th season)
He is the player I compared CJ to when we drafted him. Both 6'4 but Gordon at 215 has 15 lbs on CJ.

I do think he is a good measuring stick for CJ. Although Gordon is pretty strong, CJ may be quicker with the potential to be a better defender. But Gordon makes max money for a reason. I must admit I have not seen him play in a while, but when he was with the Clippers....the dude could shoot with the best. Injuries obviously have been the key issue for him. That and his attitude.

AD has missed a few games...

Yeah Food poisoning sucks, I guess it'll teach me to not be lazy and make my own salad. haha.
Especially when it gets the female in my house poisoned too.(she'll be referred to as female because shes yelled @ me way too much today.. like I planned to buy salad that was made by someone who didn't wash their hands)

I don't really know if it's all on Monte.
Tyreke/Holiday freeze out teammates too often. I question if they can play winning basketball on a good team.

go get em. i've been up for 42hours because of watching lakers game. i might not catch this whole game.

But they haven't been healthy. Holiday has most of the season and Davis has missed games and still they might make the playoffs in the tough Western Conference. How is that disappointing?

the sun was out today = blazers win.

They've had injuries and are in playoff race. They won 4 straight games without Davis at one point. Monty has done an incredible job.

Pelicans want this more than us. Like Clippers did. We better step up.

If we lose tonight we trade places with OKC in the standings.

good start. this is mighty familiar.

Somebody tell the Blazers the game has started.
