Kaman seems to really play well against his former teams. In 3 games against NOP this year he's put up 15/10 on 7-10 FG in 21 minutes, 16/6 on 8/10 FG in 22 minutes and 16/11 on 7/10 FG in 21 minutes.

In raw numbers, that works out to 15.7 PPG and 9 RPG in 21.7 MPG on .733 FG%

That works out to 26.4 PTS/36 and 15.2 REB/36. That's damn good production for a back up big man.

BNM
I love that he's owning the paint now and not floating out that much..said his sore shoulder made him play inside

So if the Blazers wins their final six game they will have home court advantage in the first round regardless of what the other teams finish??

Good win still concerned about loosing big leads but hey if they win them at the end then so be it. I just don't want it to be a habit if it's not already..

So.. again, should they tighten up those loosing big leads, or what?

To me you only blow a lead when you lose a game and we have won 50

So when our double-digit lead turned into a 4 deficit, you don't count that as losing a lead? We built another lead, yet still lost the one prior. Do you get it?

Hey now be nice, it isn't like 98% of the population get lose and loose wrong ;).

Too bad we won't see NOP in the playoffs, but Kaman has also played pretty well against the Clippers, another former team and a likely 1st round opponent.

His 4 games against the Clippers this year are:

8/7 on 4-5 FG in 18.5 MIN
15/11 on 7-11 FG in 26.5 MIN
8/7 on 4-6 FG in 16 MIN
8/7 on 3-6 FG in 18.5 MIN

In raw numbers that's 9.8 PPG and 8 RPG in 19.9 MPG on .643 FG%.

Or, 17.7 PTS/36 and 14.5 REB/36.

Again damn good production for a back up big man. If we play the Clippers, we're really going to need our bench to step up and all of our big men to play well.

Basketball 101..this I get..every team goes on runs. Every team blows leads. Some games have 20 lead changes. We kept the Pelicans scoreless for 2 minutes at a time just tonight. Blowing anything to me is losing.

For years we've been a second half team...recently we've scored more in the first than the second half and that has had mixed results. I like the old monster 3rd qtrs and Lillard time in the 4th but it's not always going to happen

I guess I got pulled over by the homer police.

Just because you confuse "losing" with "blowing a lead" doesn't mean I have to. How about you let me enjoy the win without arguing over the obvious fact another double digit lead was lost? Didn't I say we won anyway? Jesus.

It happens to every team in the NBA. Ebb and flow.

Um.. We know we won. Why are you telling us?

Kaman ate his Wheaties before the game, damn! Great rebounding and garbage duty.

Meanwhile, non-calls like Anthony Davis still coming from out of bounds to grab a loose ball, Davis goaltending, Lillard's arm being held causing him to lose the ball out of bounds near the final minute, Lopez getting Indian burns on his arms with no foul call, Aldridge getting hammered with no foul call.....I want to throw up. How loud did our booing come across on TV?

It got loud in a hurry.

It got loud in a hurry.

They kept showing the replays over and over on the big screen..........you know what that does to us fans.........RAGE MODE ACTIVATED.

It was awesome. I'm glad our players responded.

Yeah. Our boys got pissed off and battled through it. Proud of this team!

He wasn't real effective in the second half but CJ is a Bull. It's no wonder why Paul and Neil we're excited about him on draft day. He does things offensively this team desperately needs. Someone called last night. I think he can be very Harden like going to the hoop. He's finding different ways to score the ball going to the hoop without getting blocked. His crossover is sick and as time goes I believe it's going to be more sick for the defender. I really, really like what I'm seeing out of him.

And Rice has spent a ton of time talking him up. You can sense his excitement. Think we have a player in this kid.

I liked this game for many reasons.
I think Stotts did a very good job in rotations, he responded well, made good substitutions and the right decisions, I think the production from the bench benefited from that.
I liked Leonard very much this time, he played hard, set very good picks, played solid defense, very encouraging game from him.
Kaman was very very good, one of his best games in a long time, played good defense, was active on both sides, was a big reason we won.
Our starting unit looked lost in the beginning of the 1st and 3rd but I liked that they were able to fight through it, helped by Stotts' maneuvering, and were able to adjust and provide good production to win the game.

This wasn't a perfect game from start to finnish but had many encouraging signs, many things to take from and build on for the future. I liked how we were getting stuck a few times but were able to respond, bounce back and win the game.

im going on 70 hours with no sleep. thanks blazers for winning the games i lost sleep over at least

Great game. Got awesome bench production then the starters finally had a good stretch to close the game. Kaman was our best player and commented to Holton how it helps coach limits his minutes and keeps him fresh.

I'm not concerned about other teams going on runs that happens with all teams. Its easier to defend after you score and easier to score after a stop so naturally that makes runs more likely. Just the nature of basketball.

The Pelicans deserve more respect here. They have had multiple injuries all year and a poor bench. They play in the toughest division in the history of sports. Think about the opponents we get to play 4 times a year; the Wolves, Jazz, Nuggets, and a borderline playoff team Thunder. The worst opponent in the Pelicans division is the 50 win Spurs!

How did dame do? I didn't get to see the game but it looked like he took a lot of shots from the box score. Anyway good win Blazers! Woo

Tough start for Dame, but he finished strong. Had a couple of 3s go in & out & wasn't getting many calls (what else is new?) but he stayed with it. Down the stretch he got to the basket/FT line and took over the game. Stats not overly impressive but he made plays when it mattered.

I think the more important thing is that Gee got a DNP. :MARIS61:

I really enjoyed the win but put it in perspective...I am not policing or telling anyone what to do here. Why accentuate the negative? Enjoy the win..I enjoy every win. Sometimes we win ugly but we still win. If we were headed for the lottery it would give me concern. Obviously you didn't read my opinions during the days when Felton and Nolan Smith were our point guards. You're defining me when you should be talking about the team. There's only one Homer here (Homerloveskoolaid) and he has a sense of humor.

I PM'ed you since this is getting old. You telling anyone else to have perspective is laughable. How you think stating that the Blazers had another comeback from double digits, or that the Blazers are never out of a game, is "accentuating the negative" is simply beyond my level of intelligence. My post was about the Blazers, it was you who felt compelled to quote me with a smart-ass response. How about you take your own advice?

Homerism bud what can you do

It's legal for AD to put both hands on a players hips as he shoots the ball. Didn't you know? He's the Brow.!
It's also Legal for players to grab Lillard's arm not even coming close to the ball... Didn't you know? I mean Brewer did it. Now Gordon. Dammit Lillard get stronger!.
