Since we are playing against Lob City, who is the best lob passer on this current Blazers roster?

  • Total voters
    33
  • Poll closed .
Man that poll question though????

I put CJ because i really can't remember right of the top of my head anyone else making a successful lob this season?

I miss the back door cuts Layman and PatCon brought. Harkless brought a few also. Not sure they have that kind of synergy yet this year?

I went through the play-by-plays of all regular season games this year, and found that there has been only 2 successful alley-oop dunks converted for the Blazers: the assist men on those two dunks were Lillard and Bazemore. Lillard last night also had a lob assist where Whiteside converted a lay-up and-one.

Our team really needs to work on their lob passing.

I miss Andre Miller too

Actually he works on ESPN - he’s name is Ricardo bulgarelli - he’s analyst here in Brasil - I’m not saying I agree, but it’s considerable
Shit, I work for ESPN and don’t anything. Just messing with you man. Believe whoever and whatever you want.

the poll results are wacky

7 games into the season, Hezonja only has 7 assists and 6 turnovers. 1 of each a game, and he's averaging 23 minutes. And none of them have been lobs that I recall. Dame has 51 assists. Yet 5 votes for Hezonja and 6 for Dame. Hezonja has played in 284 NBA games and has averaged 1.3 assists and 1.2 turnovers. Lobs may be one of the most difficult passes to accomplish. Nothing in Hezonja's resume should inspire any confidence he's good at lobs

The predictions thread may have a cosmic influence on winning results-Yah Right? Everyone, vote for hope.

This is a big L, on to the next one.

So they took a loss last night to the Bucks. Bropez combined for 18 pts and 15 rebs. And the Freak hit them with 38 and 16.
A healthy Blazer team has the size and length to play well against the Clippers. Unfortunately the Blazers will be feasted on by Harrell and Shamet. Lou Williams kept them in the game last night.
Now tonight the Blazers will face Leonard as well and he is rested. No excuse because the entire Blazer team should be rested. Stotts has had two full days to get this team ready to play this game. It is an important game from the way i'm looking at it. Houston made the same team that just beat the Blazers look like children amongst men. However to be fair they did it with Capela going 19 and 16 and Tucker/House coming up with 39 and 17 combined. Then Harden got his obligatory 36 pts and added 13 assists. To put it mildly Golden State was out of their league last night.

Not really sure how the Blazers can get Past the Clippers being quite so thin up front? But i do have a few ideas that we might see? Gotta throw some doubles and keep Leonard at bay. The rest of the team played last night so play some percentages and hope for some balls hitting the front of the rim. Lou Williams worked hard last night but that guy will shoot the ball. You gotta figure they will expect that also and try to beat the Blazers inside with Harrell. Seriously that would be the Player that i would be most worried about if I'm Terry Stotts.

You got to expect Beverly to be looking forward to a matchup with Lillard. Beverly is a competitor. Like him or Loathe him he always comes and competes. Because of that the Blazers need a GiNormous game from CJ. Now i'm not talking about 1 on 3 CJ ball hog. I'm talking about the CJ that can get 6 or 7 dimes and still drop 30 points. This will make Rivers hedge his bets. Beverly will not be able to stay on Lillard and watch CJ rip their hearts out. As soon as the switch comes you got to pull the trigger on Lillard time.
Looking at Whiteside and Skal. I would go bigger and start Skal over Tolliver but if Stotts thinks Tolliver might hold Harrell better then i would at least try that. People are Bashing Tolliver but there is one thing that is for certain the Blazers have been lucky to have him to this point. They are asking him to start or play big minutes and he was not brought here to be that. He has had some rest and he might put up a couple of solid defensive stints. The one thing about Anthony Tolliver is that he has shot the three way better in his career and at some point you got to expect him to have a big night shooting. I doubt he will stay at 26%. His looks are too open and he has never shot that poorly except his first year in the league. At some point you figure he will have a 4-5 type shooting night from 3 point.

Harkless- Last night in Leonard's absence Hark played 16 mins got 3 rebounds and added 1 point. typical Mo Harkless. You guys missing Mo better pay attention Baze is putting up better numbers in Pts, Rebs, Asts, Blks, right across the board. There is never a night Bazemore does not make an impact on a game. I assume i don't have to bring up Hood because the difference is obvious.

The Blazers have the talent to compete in this game. Every metric i see tells me this. They are rested and they need a big win right now. I don't think Doc wants to lose two games in two days to teams that are considered playoffs teams. There is a reason they chose to rest Leonard against the Bucks and not on the second game against the Blazers. Conference game and they felt a win was more probable tonight. Blazers need to take care of business.

Go Blazers!
Kjironman is a fan!!!
