I don't think vonleh was injured. He was more like "making his shoulder stronger" (I think this is right). We'll see tonight. And it's a big game, I hope we can win
 
I'm afraid this game will be another big bummer. We haven't done well against mobile shot blocking centers or teams with big shooting guards. Add to that Aminu being a bad match up for Favors. I wouldn't mind seeing Vonleh start because of the match up, but I would be surprised if Stotts did it.

I feel like the league has moved to a model where all five players are at least average defenders, with the guards being plus defenders--and we didn't get the memo.

Seems unlikely Noah Vonleh will jump into the starting lineup right away. But it's worth noting how well he played off of Jusuf Nurkic
 
Too early to say of we suck or not. Look at the Warriors. The league got shaken up big time this off-season and things haven't leveled out yet. If we play like dogshit tonight I will be pretty pessimistic, but I do think it's too early. Plus were over .500 at the moment, so we're not complete slouches. I'm really hoping Noah shows up big tonight.

just saw this, maybe had something to do with his performance against TOR in terms of energy, effort etc

 
Hood is a bad match up for us. Hopefully Pat and Cj are ready to play some defense, because I don't think switching them onto Ingles is any better of an option.
 
Problem with Nurkic isn't physical. Teams have adjusted to taking the lane away on pick and rolls. Our wings need to do a better job reading it and cutting to the basket when Nurk gets the ball, and Nurk needs to do a better job with his decision making. This is a relatively easy adjustment, I don't see why it hasn't been made yet. Vonlehs return should actually help in that regard because he naturally won't be camped out beyond the three point line, giving Nurk an easy dump off option.

It would also help if someone....Anyone....Could hit an outside shot.
 
Why are our reporters making a big deal about Noah returning? Who cares? He'll play like 10 mins and not do much.

Well. I guess i'm like the reporters. I care. The sooner he gets 10 mins will be all the sooner he gets 20 mins. Want to see him play some ball above the rim. We need someone to throw a few down.
