What a strange game thread. People bitching and moaning and the team actually played well if you look at the stats. I don’t get it.

Overall stats, yes. But they were TURRBLE defensively for the first 3 quarters.

Our bench is so much better and much more cohesive. Dame is better. Nurk is a mixed bag but he's playing a better brand of basketball that should translate into improved production. Collins is definitely improved. I don't know how anybody can say our team isn't better.

Its a league wide epidemic I understand that but the one thing my brain goes back to over and over is how bad our defense looks. Every time I hear oh the Blazers drtg is top 10 it just proves how crappy defense is and how much the NBA is actively discouraging defense, because the Blazers being are not playing good defense...

Don’t get me wrong, I love the new bench... way more firepower... I just want to see them beat a couple good teams at full health before getting excited... but no matter how much Blazers have improved, still need a Jimmy Butler type player to become a legit title contender

Our interior defense has been bad except for Zach, theres mental errors all over the place, bad communication. The defense is not good.
Part of it is the fouls, it feels like the NBA is really pushing teams away from even being able to play defense, you’re allowed to waive at them while they shoot but anything else and they’ll probably call a foul.

Yeah Stotts seemed to be pissed that Meyers didn't shoot a 3 and instead put the ball on the floor and drove. I guess that is why Swanigan, Collins and Nurk shot it every time they touched it from 25 feet out. It worked tonight but I don't like it.

This is AD’s career, their good when he plays but he basically always misses games.

And in the last 5 games he is shooting 75% from deep. He is slowly getting better each game. He had some mistakes on D but the block sure looked nice.
