Held under 100 I was impressed with the 1st unit defense that's looks like it coming together. 2nd unit in the 2nd was very raggedy and Stotts need call timeout to get the players back in focus. We had 26 assist out rebound them by 3 and only gave up 6 offense. The bench score 46. I see Nurk jones covington starting to make impact on the defense end.

The bench as a unit is awful, but it would be less awful if the sole purpose wasn’t to prop up Melos scoring stats.

1st half they wasn't to bad but 2nd half they they was terrible.

It’s amazing. I really enjoy watching our first unit and then immediately just despise watching our bench. CJ pounding the ball for 20 seconds and then forcing a shot. Melo never passing or playing defense. Hood just being flat out terrible.

And you lose the credibility you don't have when you disappear every time Dame has a good game...which is quite often. and for chissakes, work on being subtle. Everybody here knows you won't waste any opportunity to shit on Dame. Change it up every once in a while and surprise us

After Kings getting to within 18 in the 4th, the bench actually restored order - this is a sign of the depth we were promised.

Sorry to be rude, but I was also very glad to not see Blevins out there.

First unit was amazing and now that Nurk is back in form they are a good defensive unit. Nurk takes us out of one dimensional offense. Look forward to some Nurk to DJJ alley oops. Nurk is back to being our 2nd best player.

Our second unit is atrocious and no 20 point lead will be safe as long as we keep playing combinations of Melo/Hood/Ant major minutes.

I thought Melo looked pretty good in the 1st half. I do agree that they tried to force-feed him too much in the 2nd half.....to the expense of Trent.

Nurk played great but I am going to nip pick on one thing, please stop forcing bounce passes into tight spaces when CJ and Dame cut to the basket. But I do love the lob passes to Jones.

he looks a lot like the way Matthews looked in his first year back from the same injury. And Matthews was never anywhere close to the player he was before the injury. I don't have a lot of optimism for Hood this season

This is the team I expected. It's just maddening because there doesn't seem like middle ground with this team: If they aren't playing their best, they're playing their worst.

If they can put together two more games in a row similar to these last two ... or even two out of three without falling down a portable hole in the other one ... I think it's fair to start becoming a little optimistic.

Yeah, Wes was a much much better player than Hood to begin with too.

Yes. We got up by 30 and then Nurk took a shot he should have passed on and lost his discipline on the passes. Value every possession always!!!

There is just zero ball movement on the second unit. It's all iso/me first ball.

And then you have CJ trying to chase stats at the end. It drives me up the fucking wall.

Unless you've moved Dame down to #3, not sure that can possibly be true at this point. Our #2 guy is playing like an all-star.

No doubt he is struggling with his game, but does he look like he has lost any quickness or explosiveness? I don't think he has.

I think our starting unit could become something like a top 6 defense but the second unit makes it hard to be average even.

So the Blazers are a game and a half back from having the best record in the NBA.
I bring this up only to point out the season is young and they are improving each game IMO.
