Injuries:
Nets:
Eddie Griffin: Sore Back OUT
Tamar Slay: Strained Right Groin OUT

Hornets:
Courtney Alexander: Strained Achilles OUT
David Wesley: Sprained Big Toe OUT

My Input and Prediction:
Lawrence Frank and his Nets are on a roll. They have won 12 straight and go for 13 at home against the Hornets. Great PG matchup tonight between All-Stars Baron Davis and Jason Kidd. No one has shown to me that they can stop Frank's Nets. Hornets won't tonight in New Jersey

Nets Win by 6

The Nets win again, neither point guard played very well in the game, but the K-Mart, Jefferson combo was, too much for the Hornets. The difference in this game was the huge rebounding edge by the Nets, 54-44. It looks like it's going to be a 3 team race in the East with the Nets, Pacers, and Pistons.

Nets win streak grows to 13

The Nets increased their win streak to 13 games in a row. And lawerence Franks increased his prefect head coaching record to 12-0, as the Nets down the Hornets 97-84. The Nets also tie the NBA season high for consecutive wins(both the Pistons and Spurs had 13 game win streaks earlier in the season. The game was interesting for the most part. The Nets fastbreak game was out in full force. And the hornets also left the crowd with a few memories. Baron Davis was breaking cats ankles with moves off the dribble. And Jamal Masburn hit a few etremely difficult jumpers with K-mart hugging him like a tight Bill Cosby sweater. But Bombing from the outside instead of taking the ball to the rack is what cost the Hornets the game. Their long jumpers led to Nets rebounds which got their fastbreak game going. Baron Davis jumper was extremely frigid, as he shot a horrible 7-23 from the field. And no one with 50 feet of the Hornets basket was safe when Darrell Armstrong was launching. Jamal Mashburn also struggled from the field overall. But he led the way for the Hornets with 28pts & 13 rebounds. Davis finished the game with 17pts. The Nets unlike the Hornets had a well balanced scoring attack led by K-mart. K-mart return to the starting lineup after being limited to just 13 minutes off the bench in Friday's win vs the Raptors. Martin scored 23pts and 13rebs. Richard Jefferson chiped in 21pts. And Jason Kidd once again fell just short of a triple double, as he add 11pts 9ast & 9rebs. Thhe Nets will now look to set the season high for consecutive wins as they once again face the Raptors on Tuesday.

I predict the Nets will extend their streak to 14 in this game. Hornets do not have a team that can contend with the how the Nets are playing right now. Lawrence Frank is running the Nets way too well for the Hornets to outplay the Nets.

They got murdured yesterday, what makes you think they can't win again today?

Again, my man K-Mart was everywhere. Blocking shots, shooting putbacks, grabbing rebounds. Did you guys see when he ran all the way to a wide open Darrel who's about to take the three? He ran something like 10 feet and jumped as high as he could. He was able to block the shot when it was in the air.

The Nets as usual forced turnovers, forced bad shots and ran the break. That ladies and gentlemen is Nets basketball.
