What the fuck does reddit mean anyway?!?!? :MARIS61:

Actually, Mo was the coach during that series against Dallas in.... 2002-2003? It was Pippen's last year, I remember that. The game where he saved Natalie Gilbert was a playoff game.

As someone who got to see practices from both coaches, Nate was MUCH better than Mo. MUCH MUCH better.

You're right. He also coached Philly to a 40-42 playoff appearance. This Detroit team is actually pretty well off in terms of talent, yet Mo is Mo and has them fighting for the playoffs in a terrible Eastern Conference.

Monroe/Smith/Jennings/Drummond is lot of talent, yet they're 11-14. Of course, they're 1-9 against the West, which means they will probably end up hosting in the first round of the playoffs since they have a lot of their Western Conference games behind them.

A lot of people on the Detroit RealGM board couldn't understand why Mo kept taking Drummond out.

You've played like Call of Duty, right?

An aimbot is something you download that is a cheat, and it aims for you. It automatically aims at the bad guys.

"Toggling" is when someone turns that cheat on and off during a game to avoid being obvious.

I've never played Call of Duty. I haven't played a video game since my daughters made me play Just Dance 4 with them last Christmas after "Santa" brought them the game.

I like it because it's pretty much one of the first places you will find funny pictures, interesting videos, and breaking news. It's all content driven by the users, .

You just explained why I visit this joint!

Reddit is mostly younger people. I like it because it's pretty much one of the first places you will find funny pictures, interesting videos, and breaking news. It's all content driven by the users, and the stuff on the front page has been put there by "upvotes" from other users.

Aside from S2, it's probably the place I visit second most.

That makes sense. Our "young" posters here are a rarity. Mostly because the expectation here is to actually spell out words and not say U R SO KOOL via text.

What do you mean you "young" posters..... I thought you were in your early 20s!

I remember when we used to have "young" posters.... they all got old and we never replaced them with new blood.

I remember when I used to be "young". I still act like I'm 16, but man time flies! Happens to all of us!

We "oldtimers" come from a time where you actually had to communicate face to face with people. I've met a lot of people here in person.

What happened to ABM, by the way? Does anybody know?

I started posting on the old ESPN "chat" boards when I was 23 and still in college. Used some of my student loans for a home computer and dial-up, since I had to work nights and lived with my future wife in a shithole.

Is it the cold weather, or boredom from too many Blazer wins? This thread has "officially" jumped the shark.

To the critics of (insert Blazer player name), 21-4. That's all I have to say about that.

He fell in love with another chick?

My first message board experience was in 2000 when we had our monumental collapse against the Lakers. I was a freshman in college and used to troll the Lakers fans so hard on the Foxsports.com message boards. Mpls2000 used to post there. I then went on to ESPN and poasted there sporadically.

Anyone have the Mike & Mike feed? NBA TV showed the Pistons feed, I'd love to hear our guys get all excited over the buzzer beater.

I about crapped my pants.

They are legitimate criticisms. Just as him being a veteran presence in the locker room, pushing the ball up the court, nailing some really clutch buckets, being THE spark that got Portland back into several games are valid praises. Mo is on a 2 year contract. He does not hinder any long term flexibility, nor was he brought in as a long term solution. Mo is a huge improvement over last season's Smith, and even Maynor. It is what it is. I understand being frustrated with the criticisms, but some talk like there is a better option available the Blazers could work. Don't you think Olshey would be making a move if there was a better fit? I do. Mo fits and we just gotta take the frustration with the good. It's part of the game, and a win is still a win.

Fair points although you and I would be better than last season's Smith so that quality loses some of it's luster. :chestbump: As for Olshey making a move, who knows? Last year he didn't and later said he wished he had. That starting group was very solid and just needed a little help to at least continue to fight for the playoffs. This starting 5 is better and has a little more help but as a group, the bench is still ranked almost last.

Guess I was just looking longer term. I appreciate that it's better but then again, almost anything would have been better over last year.

:matrix:

By the way, I was mostly kidding about being done with Mo. While the things I mentioned do irritate me, and he does need to cut down the number of "I'm the only one that needs to touch the ball" possessions, I'm not really done with him. I was trying to pay homage to Eric's hyperbolic doom-and-gloom posts, lol.

Last I saw he had a lunch date with that "chick" who was a "law student" at Stanford. He hasn't been seen since. Maybe he eloped. What was "her" name? Kass or something?

So much love for the Rip City jerseys too. Really cool to see so many other fans want Blazer jerseys.

Yeah, i've seen people on several different forums saying how much they love them, even Blazer haters.

Also, i'm not sure if i count as one of the young posters anymore? There's several people younger than me on here, but so many of you are old farts in your late 20s and up i guess i count by default?

Although he needs to force the contact just a little more instead of trying to outfloat the defender.
Yeah, he can't out-hang defenders. But it seems that he almost always tries to do just that. He needs to get his shot off a lot quicker, and THEN the contact that occurs after he's gotten the shot off will be called. But drawing contact, hanging, double-clutching, and shooting off the hip isn't going to work for him.
