Not sure how much more of this I feel like watching.

I thought the Blazers were supposed to catch a break with Westbrook being out.

These refs are BS and of course its because we are in OKC but we aren't really doing a lot to try and earn the whistles.

Stotts needs to learn how to coach for more than just a jump shot. Open jumpers are PART of a good offense, but do not make a good offense on their own.

Word! All you see is perimeter offense. Nothing going towards the basket. LaMarcus starts on the post but shoots it from 18'. Not very much balance. Works great when you're shooting 50% from '3'. Not so great otherwise.

I'm still not worried about the offense. It will come. But when you can't get stops, that's when you lose games.

I'm actually going to specify because I think the refs are doing a good job overall but they are letting Perkins/Collison get away with moving picks almost everytime down the court.

You can't move your pivot foot as you start a drive, but they let Kevin Durant do what he just did. pick up the ball, jump sideways and go back up and shoot. The NBA is such a bullshit league.

Play some god damn defense Portland! F$&@!

Sorry just had to vent. I've seen enough of this ole biz

I hate to say it, but when KD is doing what he's doing, it's tough for anyone to beat them.

Perimeter shooting isn't sustainable. We've proven we can get open shots whenever we want. But you need a balance with plays designed to get shots in the paint. Stotts hasn't shown any ability to coach that sort of offense.

Missing shots will lose you games, sure. But over the course of a season you'll still win more than you lose. The defense is the issue.

We are getting a LOT of open 3's, they will eventually start falling and then OKC is going to have to change it up and thats when LMA can start feasting.

You don't know that. And it doesn't matter, you can't get them back 3 of 18, if they had just shot a paltry 33% that's 9 more points and it would be a much closer game. You miss that many damn 3s and you've pretty much shot yourself in the foot. Game over. 3 in a row.

More-than-just-jump-shooting-from-the-high-post LMA is fun. He's got some vision ,and Lopez can finish with both hands.

Was that a lefty floater by Lillard?

It was nice not seeing Mo later in the second. Was that Watson playing?

Thats a little pessimistic. Sure we missed a ton of 3's but if we shoot 18 more in the second and hit at lets say 50% of those that will get us back into the game. We are the best 3 shooting team in the league, its what we rely on so yea if were going to hit 16% were going to lose but this is also a team that cna get hot and hit 7 to 8 threes in a quarter.

Oh defense, I miss you. And not just launching 3s.

100% the issue. This defense is really a problem.

Halftime:

  • Batum just got outscored 22-0 in the first half to go with 2 rebs, 3 assists and 3 TOs. This is the frustrating Nic that takes long portions of the game off.
  • LA started off hot but finished 1-5. 3-19 from '3' which is Portland's bread and butter.
  • Leonard has the only 2 points off the bench as they get outscored 14-2.
  • Out-rebounded 28-21.

Feels like we are lucky to only be down 12.

Just between you and me, I still wish we would have drafted Jeremy Lamb instead on Meyers Leonard.

There is prob a lot of overthinking and questioning going on. Confidence is shaken. They need a come from behind victory to get themselves back on track!
