Great win!

Oh, and the bench blows once again. Mo is truly harsh on the eyes.

Ball movement in the second half was awesome.

Jesus fuck! My reverse Jinx works again. :pimp:

But seriously, how did we win this game? I thought we should have won the Miami game, but we should not have won this game, so it balances out. Jackson, a 93% FT shooter misses two clutch FTs...and that Durant miss at the end reminded me of the LA miss at the end of the Miami game.

Portland so needs to work on rebounding the FT misses, they give up so many of those. And Mo....can we just get the bastard right now? Talk about anti-clutch, he almost cost us the game.

39% shooting
25% from 3
Outrebounded 52-43
Bench with 9 points on 4-14 shooting

...and still a win. Incredible. I think CJ McCollum is going to push Mo Williams for minutes, too. Crawford was better off of the bench, although Mo did have 3 assists and zero TOs.

This is the kind of game that I thought we would see more of from Dame.

21 points, 11 dimes, 6 boards. He's totally capable of doing this every game. I love seeing him run the offense like that.

LMA going home to DAL for New Year's Eve while the team flies home.

:MARIS61:

I told you Charles Barkley is the biggest jinx on the planet! I love it, especially since we used his "foul with a three point lead" strategy sir Charles always preaches!

Was this game on national TV? Did Chuck say anything about our foul? It almost backfired on us....I never like the opposing FT shooter to miss the 2nd shot because the Blazers are terrible at grabbing FT rebounds.

Yes it was national but not on tnt

We need to cut it with the Dame at SG bullshit. His numbers improved last year with Maynor but it's not working with Williams. Williams is a terrible PG! Can't wait for CJ and Watson to take his minutes.

Good road victory against a top team. Blazers really haven't been able to say that this year.

Very interested to see the 4 game road trip coming up. It will say a lot.

The dude should have the ball in his hands. Period. He's a superstar point guard.

Lamarcus on NBA.com TV

Ernie: "were you surprised that OKC put Perkins on you?"

Aldridge: "naw, they always try and put him on me. That would have worked 6 years ago, but I'm older, stronger and wiser. I welcome the challenge!"

Teams are trying to bring over Sergio, that ought to be a no-brainer for Neil.

Let's hope that this win doesn't have them lose focus. Take each game one game at a time.

I know it goes both ways but it's crazy to think that we are basically three buzzer beaters away from being 28-4. Great win Blazers!

I only caught the last 5 minutes and the first half. Jaynes says OKC gave us the game. Is that the overwhelming feeling here? Pretty sure we took the game judging by the last 5 minutes. We stayed aggressive throughout.

The Spanish Armada duo could work well in a Terry Stotts 2nd unit.

That said the defense is already shaky, and those two can't guard a chair.

Um no, we actually took the game from OKC.

They didn't give us the game. We stopped giving up Express Lanes to the hoop, made a couple of more shots (still WELL below average), and held them to jumpers that they missed.

What, Jaynes misconstrue something to provoke a response? Say it ain't so!

Portland actually played defense, thats why they won.

I wonder how OKC feels? We gave them their true loss at home, plus 2-0 against them this season. And OKC only lost 6 games; which means we account for 30% of their losses.

I really saw some defensive intensity from Nic tonight. Dude was pumped up, and he was everywhere on defense. I think he made a huge difference against Durant in the second half.
