GAME NOTES:
  • Thunder will secure a playoff berth if they win this game.
  • Both teams have a 2-game winning streak currently.
  • Both teams have the same home record.
  • Durant has averaged 30.8 points in his last 5 games against the Blazers.
  • This is the first of 2 games between these 2 teams in the next 6 days.
  • Previous meetings against the Thunder this season:
    106-107 Loss in Portland on 11/4/10
    108-110 Loss in OKC on 11/12/10
GO BLAZERS!

Fuck OKC!!!! They should still be in Seattle!

We can win this one. The addition of Wallace really helps give us a new look and we have defenders that hopefully can irritate Durant and Westbrook (I would put Matthews on Westbrook and Batum on Durant first and try that out, but what do I know, Nate has a better idea of who should guard who).

I just don't want Nic to pick up 2 quick ones on Durant!

Oh, I forgot to add in the game notes that this is the game where LMA will donate $1,000 for every point he scores to Direct Relief's Japan Relief and Recovery Fund.

Hope he goes for 50! :)

I bet he won't even shoot! LA will set a career high in assists tomorrow night...... COUNT ON IT FAMS!

With such a thrilling and emotional win over the Spurs, I fear the Blazers will have a let down game. OKC are on fire lately, winning 11 of 13. We better not come out flat.

Or, that win is one that starts a streak, like the crazy Outlaw shot did against Memphis a in 07-08. You never know!

Good point. We also went on a mini-streak after Roy's buzzer beater against the Rockets, winning 3 more games.

I am curious to see how OKC plays now that they have a loaded defensive front court.

I haven't seen them play since the Perkins deal but when I saw that go down it made me very nervous about the future.

However, seeing as how I was so dramatically wrong about the Suns deal (even though Gortat is playing very well), it gives me hope that the Perkins deal won't work out all that well for the Thunder.

Just talked to LA...... I told him to pass every time he touches the rock!

If there's one team I enjoy watching the Blazers beat the most it's the Thunder. Fuck them.

Tell me it's because it takes the stupid smug look off of Russell Westbrook's face.

To be fair, they're on fire because they've largely beaten the teams they're supposed to beat. Here's their 11 of 13 lineup

Indiana W
@Atlanta W
Phoenix W
@Memphis L
@Philadelphia W
Detroit W
@Cleveland W
@Washington W
@MiAmI W
Charlotte W
Toronto L
Utah W
Minnesota W

By my reckoning, they only had two wins against teams that were favored over them (@ATL and @Mia) which is offset by their losses to teams they should have beaten (@MEM and TOR). Other than that, their only other quality win was @PHI.

Their streak reminds me of our Jan/Feb when we won against a bunch of tomato cans.

Not a great start. :/

Why did we just double Perkins and Ibaka on back to back possessions?

Someone went into this game prepared and serious. The other team didn't.

Aldridge just looks like he wants no part of Perkins

Kind of hoping the Blazers get Dallas now

Nate makes a good adjustment and makes it wallace/aldridge/camby and now ibaka is guarding aldridge

Mmmmmmmm, big line up taste good.

Me like!

It's amazingly sad noticing the marketing of the league these days. On the ESPN broadcast this is obviously "THE OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER!!!!!!!!!!!!.... (whispers vs... the Blazers). That sweet Roy to Aldridge pass to a dunk... that barely got a comment from the announcers, but anything that the Thunder does is treated to homer over-enthusiasm by the supposed national announcing team. Fucking sad.
