well, he is a freak athletically, and can dunk a ton.

Although Griffin has improved a lot this year (from the previous 3). Still has holes in his game, but a damn fine player none the less. The problem with the ASG is it's a popularity contest for the starters. Because LaMarcus isn't a highlight factory, he'll never be popular (outside of Portland).

Yeah, so put him in the dunk contest and keep him there. He has no business being in the all star game.

Are all more deserving than him. It's absolutely pathetic that Griffin has been in the league this long and still has absolutely horrific post footwork. Anthony Davis, completely RAW out of Kentucky, has the equivalent offensive repertoire as him and plays significantly better D. I hate to go on a rant, and yes it is a popularity contest, but it is a complete shame that Griffin is even mentioned in the same breath as those other names. Speaks to the intelligence of the "fan vote" in my opinion.

The bench is for teams to play well throughout the season, then rotations are 8-9 in the playoffs
