Game Thread: Denver @ PDX 7:30

the officiating in the last 6 minutes or so of the game was just pathetic. just free throws all over the place on basically nothing.

both of our PGs suck

Everyone on the team sucks. This is the suckiest bunch of sucks who ever sucked.

Except Outlaw. When will Portland finally build a team that gives Outlaw a chance at a championship? We saw Garnett waste so many years of his career in Minnesota...now we're seeing it play out with Outlaw. :sigh:

Don't forget Travis 1-8. I mean, hes so up-and-down....

Not that I'm baggin on him, but damn, hes apart of our "depth".

Travis was 1-8 because he was missing in close, but he kept getting the rebound and we scored on that possession.

2nd game out of an 82 game schedule. Do they not teach math at OSU?

;)

Actually the reason we played houston instead of new orleans is because of our division record...dropping one at home to a division foe cripples the chances...i can do math

What? It's true. The refs even tried to give Portland free throws late in the game and they blew it.

God damn, it's Steve Blake vs. Clippers all over again, only worse.
i was talking about him saying "our season is over"

Exactly. If KP doesn't get Outlaw some help soon, he'll bolt.

Agreed. The refs took the game over a bit too much at the end and made it a FT contest.

Exactly. You HAVE to win your home games against divisional foes. It doesn't matter if the game is in April or October. Our season is lost. I thought Andre Miller was supposed to be a difference maker? He's horrible. His time has passed. Thank goodness we didn't sign him for too long.

They (the refs) were trying to get the score above the over/under. . . but just came up short.

The free throw numbers back this.

The difference tonight? :
George Karl ( a real coach)

Anyone who reads this and thinks this group is a fucking zoo, let's meet back at BBF.com, kay?

there were 24 free throws in the last 5 minutes(well 5:03) of the game. 12 for each side. and they could have probably let half of them go.

Absolutely. And Pritchard will be fired. You don't let a Hall of Famer like Outlaw leave and keep your job.

As far as I'm concerned, Pritchard is already in hot water. He built a team that forced Outlaw to shoot 1-8 and cost the team the game. With a better team, Outlaw shoots 4-10 and the team wins the game.

This place after a loss is just depressing.

To be fair, we shoot FTs at a higher percentage than Denver. But Denver hit them when they mattered and they also grabbed the rebounds down the stretch.

I actually thought you were joking at first but I'm not so sure anymore.

I dont think it was Oden or Miller missing the late free throws that cost us the game so much as it was us shooting 34% from the field. Not gonna win many games shooting that low of a percentage. And you got to give Denver credit: Carmelo was 100% on a MISSION tonight, no doubt about it.

One positive for the game was the play of Webster. He gave Carmelo fits tonight and also had a solid offensive performance. Now I've never been one to second guess Nate much....but it did surprise me very much how little Martell played in the 4th quarter. I'll leave it at that.

That shot by Roy was almost identical to the one from last year. Let's hope its not a sign of what to come.

Sunday, March 7th, mark the date down boys. We roll into Denver on that night.

We'll lose in Houston. They're a scrappy team with something to prove.

oh and that's where the game was decided. denver went 11-12, portland went 7-12. denver won by 4.
