Still proud of LA. His teammates have mailed it in but he continues to ball.

Just watched the pure and Warriors games........shit happens. Ugly loss tonight by our Blazers, but these slumps happen over the course of 82. How can some of you now realize this.

Rest? That's a lame excuse IMO.

Last I checked every team has played the same amount of games, or close to...

Sorry, but this is a really dumb take. As of last night, the Blazers had played 8 games in 12 nights. The Grizzlies played 5 games in the same time period. When the Blazers were blown out by the Warriors in the last game, they had played 7 games in 10 nights while the Warriors had played 5 games over that time period. The greater amount of time that the Blazers may have had between games earlier in the season helped in getting the season record where it is today, but those extra days off in December do nothing towards resting tired legs right now.

Well yes the Blazers have had more games in the last few weeks, but for the year they have played the same as all the other teams. When the Blazers barely beat a Clippers team in overtime they were rested while the Clippers were on a back to back. When we beat Boston and Cleveland this month they were on back to backs while the Blazers weren't.

So over the course of the year these things average out. All teams have played the same games in total, so to use it as an excuse for losses.... well then we should consider it as reason earlier in the year the team got a number of their wins.

Apparently you missed this part: "The greater amount of time that the Blazers may have had between games earlier in the season helped in getting the season record where it is today, but those extra days off in December do nothing towards resting tired legs right now."

Ding ding ding! Yup - if we're putting asterisks next to these losses then some of those wins also need 'em.

We need the graphic that shows the number of 4 games in 5 nights, etc. the Blazers have this year compared to other teams, and on the road no less. Plus we have extra travel due to our distance from other teams. No, all schedules are not created equal. And of course you are right: certain stretches are worse/more difficult than others. We aren't talking about the entire season anyway, where things might generally even out. Just this particular grueling stretch of games with no time to rest or practice.
