I was going to be pissed if we lost this one. I thought we were getting screwed on a few of those calls down the stretch. (Three Charlotte possessions in a row with 3-4 minutes left) Especially the ball that went out of bounds that they couldn't use the replay.
 
I still think we should try to bring in a vet wing, but there won't be any teams willing to dump vets until they know they're going to suck balls.

Yeah the refs suck dick.

The Blazers played defense in the 4th like they were mad too. Their hustle reminded me of the playoffs there for about 3-4 minutes... however, the 1st quarter reminded me of Fan Fest.

No doubt, if LA would just drastically cut that down his FG% would skyrocket and the Blazers would be a better team. Fans get excited when he hits those, but it's a low percentage shot.
 
They may not score a lot of points but give it up for the bench. Their D as a unit might be better than the starters. Blake and the Bench D responsible for getting them back into it. What a hound Blakey was.

Kaman now averaging:

17.6 PTS/36
12.7 REB/36
2.8 BLK/36

Take THAT all you dorks that wanted Hawes and were disappointed when we got Kaman. Most teams would be lucky to have a starting center that could put up those kind of numbers.

For the sake of comparison, here's Hawes' per-36 numbers:

13.6 PTS/36
7.9 REB/36
1.5 BLK/36

Turns out Kaman isn't just a better fit, he's a better player (but some of us knew that...)

Kaman is the type of player who provides the things needed for a team like Portland to be diverse enough to contend for a championship.

Just got to our hotel here in The Mile High City about 15 minutes ago...... these home-Denver back to backs are brutal!

Mood on the plane was business as usual.
