The only bad thing about this pick is that a rookie 2nd rounder could start for us...

Nets # 10 - A steal

Nets # 21 - good

Nets # 40 - Quick there goes Rod in the black mask to the white van in the corner !

I'm not so happy with cdr. did anybody see him against kansas in the last 2 minutes. He had like six turnovers and bad shots after rose fouled out. I dubbed him the new chris weber.

I hope he improves his bb iq in the off season....

rather have the guy from western kentucky

Callipari just talking about how good CDR is and has been for Memphis, talking about his moxy and how he wants the ball in a close game, not afraid, was "the leader" or "one of the leaders" of the team that won all those games.

Now just imagine the chip on this guy's shoulder after he drops from projected late first round all the way to 40. Awesome!

Thorn had a master plan in place to toy with our emotions and got ESPN and the rest of the GMs to play along, switching the order of their 21 + 40th picks....

Im happy with Brook and CDR..... But i dont know much about Anderson..... can he ball? is he a soft big man? what kind of player is he? ive never seen him play.

I'll second that!

overall, a good draft for the nets:

1. brook lopez - this is destiny, brooklyn being his real name...gives us the offensive presence we lack in the post...his defense is acceptable...
2. ryan anderson - good balance for brook, a 'spread four' who can bury it from deep...shoots 40% from 3, 50% from 2 and 80% from the line!
3. cdr - my fav pick...i think gms stayed away from him because he doesn't have a prototypical game but he is most definitely a baller...he is like shawn marion, you don't know how the hell de does it but he gets the job done...can't be counted on as the main man though but played well in derrick rose's shadow...

<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">This is coming in late OJ Mayo traded to Memphis</span>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Minnesota Timberwolves aren't holding onto O.J. Mayo for long.

Two league sources told ESPN.com that the Wolves have reached an agreement in principle with the Memphis Grizzlies that will send the draft rights of Mayo, Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker and Greg Buckner to the Grizzlies in return for the draft rights to Kevin Love, Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal and Jason Collins.

The deal is a blockbuster for both teams. ESPN.com reported on Tuesday that the Wolves GM Kevin McHale was infatuated with Love, but felt that the team had to select Mayo and use him to acquire more assets.</div>

FYI, we now have 4 bigs from the first round in the last 3 drafts. So that not taking young guys to compete with each other seems... off

Look out Portland is nasty but in a few year...wow...Memphis will be real good.

Mike Conley Jr, OJ Mayo and Rudy Gay on the same team...DAMN.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (turdymclovin @ Jun 27 2008, 12:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Earl Watson ( 2 years left, vet back up PG w/ decent 3 point range)

For KVH or Stromile?</div>

That'd be pretty sweet if we could get him for Hassell, somehow.

That was an awful trade for Memphis. A pretty bad trade for the wolves, too, but at least they got Miller.

**** yeah, Ryan Anderson! Wooo!

Oh yeah, CDR is cool too

And all I know is that Brook killed Cal everytime so I'm not too unhappy about him being picked.

I'll just say Ryan was picked at 10, CDR at 21, and Brook at 40.
