:reading:BLAZERS' GAME NOTES
• Portland is 5-4 in its last nine games played in New Orleans.

• Seven of the last nine games played between Portland and New Orleans have been decided by single digits.

• In the last eight meetings between the two teams, neither squad has eclipsed 100 points.

• The Trail Blazers lost the season series against New Orleans for just the second time in the past six seasons (2012-13 and 2010-11).

• Portland’s 63 points scored against New Orleans on Feb. 13, 2013 marked the fewest points ever scored by the Trail Blazers against the Pelicans. The 36-point margin in the contest also marked the biggest win for New Orleans over Portland in series history.

• HEAD-TO-HEAD MATCH-UPS:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 39-26
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 21-10
AT THE PELICANS: Trail Blazers lead, 18-16

GO BLAZERS!!!

Davis is the type of player that seems to give the Blazers fits. That said, Portland should have advantages all over the court if they are patient and move the ball. The Blazers should have their legs back and it will be interesting to see how sharp they are.

  • Pelicans shouldn't abuse the Blazers in the paint as much as most teams have done.
  • Can the Blazer cut down on their turnovers?
  • They need a few more fast break baskets so Davis can't just set up near the rim and play goalie.

I hope the reception at home is a thunderous 'Welcome Home'.

This would be bad loss. Not to mention we don't play again till next thurs. Really bad taste in mouth going into holidays. Not to mention an impossible sched starting after tonight till early jan

I sure hope we come out and blow these guys out right off the gate.

Appreciate your concern. I appreciate getting this thread started right with a beautiful "reverse jinx".

Thank you

Excited to get this game going. Get that ugly taste of the Minny game out. I want a win, don't want to have to wait until Thursday after a loss!

Long time, no post.

How's everything here since you've become "the" official forum? good/bad/both?

Go Blazers!

Hey EJ, nice to see you again.

He's right. This is a game we should win, if we're going to be seen as legitimate contenders. Home game with two days rest, coming off a bad loss. Good teams win these games.

Which is why we will.

Damian Lillard choses "Hannah Montana" by Migos for the warm-up music.

Hahahahaha! Nice choice by Lillard for the holidays!

But, NOLA has been off since Wedensday as well, and probably been in portland for 48+ hours. This will be a good test. I think we still win, but it won't be pretty, IMO.

I'd rather have "Wake up, wake up on a Saturday Night" if I'm listening to Hilary Duff.

I really want to blow these guys out. I want LA to drop 30 and 20 on Davis. I want Lillard to score 30 again. We have a pretty long break before our next game, so I'd like to see us just destroy these guys.

For warm ups this is what I would pick!

Is the NOP announcer Joel Meyers? He's pretty legit, for an ex-L*ker guy.

"Got your 6" commercial is pretty good...though I think I saw Angela Bowers for the first time since about 1990.

wow. Does Anthony Davis really have that in his arsenal?

Well, if Davis can do it, I guess RoLo can, too. :sigh:
