My immediate reaction to looking at the box score: Our bench actually got outscored tonight?

They need to fix that floor being so slick before someone gets hurt. I saw CJ and Lopez slipping all over the place.

There's some fuckin' dudes playing frisbee on CSNNW instead of the postgame coverage.

so lemme guess what espn is saying:

lillard is for real, after a bad first half

but

okc team dismantled, doesnt matter. westbrook4life!!!

These injury-type games are sooo hard to prep the team for. The usual suspects aren't there and defensive timing changes.

I really think that "20 games in" will be the time we need to establish our defense. We need to implement the system on actual games. It's hard to do it in practice.

This is all true. Like I said if we become not necessairly elite on defense, but good-great will be tough to beat. The only concern with our D is Lillard. Dude has to figure it out because he gets torched which creates open shots for either the ball handler or the others.

id never seen so many cleanups on a basketball court before.

Stotts needs to just realize Lillard is our scorer. Have him on the least offensive guard at all times.

You and I are on the same page my man. Now to send the memo to Stotts lol. It is exactly like when Lillard played Parker in the playoffs last year, just is not a good recipe lol.

Agreed

Overall the blazers took a shot to the mouth for 3 quarters and then finally toughened up a bit. Lillard did fine as soon as the defense started getting stops and that always leads to offense.

No post-game love for Wessy? 5 of 9 from the three point line, including back to back threes that made the game a laugher late in the 4th.

Exciting end there with Crabbe fighting for the win. My favorite player Claver would have helped us in the 1st half when we were consistently 6 down.

Crabbe cakes is making a statement as a garbage time go to guy. He may overtake CJ at the 2 guard before all is said and done

Just think of how badly we would have beaten them if we had Meyers out there?

Encouraging: LMA and Lillard played on 34 minutes. No starter played more than 35. Let's make sure we do well enough to keep it that way. :ghoti:

Hey I hope you're right. But I have to imagine with a Durant, with a Morrow, with a Jackson and whoever else they get at least over 90 and probably over 100. Im on your side just not too highly optimistic yet.

It doesn't work like that. While these players tonight aren't nearly as good as the injured players, they did have an advantage in that there's not much tape there to scout.
