GAME THREAD: THUNDER @ BLAZERS - 12/4/13, WEDNESDAY, 7 PM (PST), KGW

Welcome to our community

Who will Perkins scuffle with tonight?

I'm handicapping it: LaMarcus, Freeland, Lopez, TRob, in that order.

Of course, there's always the chance he cheap shots one of our wings or guards, in which case: Wes, Mo, Lillard.

Thunder have played 16 games at home and only 7 on the road? Is that correct? Wow, and people said we had a soft schedule. I didn't even know that kind of disparity was possible.

Oops, never mind. I see that the 13-3 was overall, not home. Kind of confusing though. Maybe we should get HCP to help make these game threads more clear.

Watch Aldridge's rebounding total tonight. Blazers 15-0 when he has 6 or more, and 0-3 when he has 4 or 5. ow.ly/i/3VjDM

I noticed LA really going after defensive boards early in the Indy game; it was great to see him swallow them up!

I've noticed that too. Actually most of his rebounding seems to come in the 1st half. Last game he had 6 boards in the first and 4 in the 2nd. The game before, I think he had something very similar too.

Dan Sheldon @DanSheldonCSN
For his career, Kevin Durant averages fewer points against the Blazers than any other team in the West. (23.8ppg)

We've had a very tough schedule. 5 back to backs. More road games than home games. Played against Indy and SA, also in Denver and GS- two of the hardest places to win. Tonight will be another huge win. Might be the first time we really blow a team out.

How do you see us blowing OKC out?

Damnit! Every time I see Joe Freeman my mind automatically goes to Joel Freeland. Every. Damn. Time.

How do you see us blowing OKC out?

1) We're a much more talented team. Way better than them at 3 positions and even at a 4th one.

2) We're a stellar home team and they're a crappy road team.

3) They barely beat the Queens last night. Too tired to beat a championship contender like ourselves.

I don't agree that we are a championship contender yet this year. Way too frickin' early for that.

So, if the Heat came into town after losing to the pistons last night, would they have no chance against us? OKC is still a damn good team, and it'll be within 7.

We'll see. It all gets settled on the court.

Preach it, KimgSweep!

After losing to the Pistons? Hell no. They'd want to beat a win out of their next opponent. But barely winning the Pistons and then coming in here the next night? And we have a night off (stupid Drake concert negates half of this advantage...)? I'd predict a win.

...of course, I always predict a win. :ghoti:

Exactly.

A close win may do the same.

The score will be within 7. Hope i'm wrong, but I highly doubt it.

Westbrook...20.6/4.1/5.7
Dame.........20.6/4.8/5.6

BLAZERS' GAME NOTES

• The Thunder have won seven games in a row against the Trail Blazers the first time the Thunder franchise has won seven regular season games in a row against Portland since winning a series-high nine games in a row from Oct. 15, 1971 to Nov. 18, 1972.

Has to be a typo. No way did the Blazers and Sonics play 9 games between mid-October and mid-November 1972.

Up in BC, Canada - anyone with a stream? Thank you

Not until game time. I'll be trying streams on firstrowsports, nba-stream, and freevip.eu (aka VIPBox). Those are my top 3 sites at the moment.

Nope, not a typo.

Thanks, I misread the original quote and thought it was from October 1972 to November 1972 (i.e. one month). Still playing each other 9 times in 13 months was a lot of head-to-head games in such a short span - and a LOT less travel than we have to deal with now. I miss the I-5 rivalry!

Interesting that OKC coach Scott Brooks mentioned keeping Robin Lopez off offensive boards as a key.

Mike Tokito @mtokito
Lopez is No. 3 in the league in offensive rebounds per game at 3.9.
