When I looked up to see his stats, that surprised me. He looked awful.

He's shooting FG 38% and 3P 26% for the season. That is not including tonight's game. However, he is helping in other ways.

You're looking at it the wrong way.
Batum Should shoot more, even if it means lowering his percentages, which in my opinion would eventually get back up to closer to his regular numbers.
Batum makes almost only good decisions, he may be the best or at least one of the best decision makers on our team, there's only one mistake he keeps doing and that's giving up shots he should take.
I love his unselfishness but sometimes he doesn't go up for the 3 instead keeps moving the ball which is hurting our flow, not helping it, because it's a 3 he should have taken.
I went through the box-score after watching the game and was actually glad to see his percentages. I liked that he kept taking shots even when he wasn't making them - that's the right thing to do. If he gets too preoccupied with maintaining a high fg% he would give up open looks and cause a miss or a harder shot for another player. In this case him shooting more is the unselfish thing to do.

Another similar issue is RoLo not taking wide open mid-range shots. He can make that shot, he should just not be afraid of missing a few until he gets his confidence back.

He takes just enough for satiation. He'll hit a couple to allow the pump fake to be a viable asset. He's fine, there's nothing to worry about.

If all he had to do well is rebound, throw precision outlet passes, and hit open threes, he'd already be a starter in the league. Get his defense up to mediocre from "oh my God what are you doing?!" And he'll play 82 games a year.

Honestly, I don't know why he isn't getting more burn. The times he has played this season he's been adequate on defense. He's better than Joel who just bogs down the offense and can't catch a pass to save his life.

Batum will get on track. He never will be a 20pt average guy. He's a low teens guy that gives us a little of everything. Defense, rebounds, blocks, steals, assists, etc.
