Well... Tony Luftman is on TV, time to find something else to watch.

Correction. Westbrook was 1-7 against Aldridge, because that's who was guarding him when Sergio switched.

Fiction.

There was no switching going on tonight.

Westbrook was smothered by Sergio any time he got within 15 feet of the hoop.

Do you even watch, or do you just post?:dunno:

Oh boy, I got a kick out of this one.

Considering that you've already admitted that you don't watch the games, I'd ask you the same question.

i think you watch your own version of the game in your head or something.

there's a reason sergio was yanked 4 minutes into the 3rd Q and never got back in. he was terrible.

Didn't you post that the feed you were watching was on the Houston game part of the night? Or am I mistaken?

Nope. Not mistaken. The feed went to the LA game, too, according to your posts.

Haha.

Not what Nate said.

Nate said they have both played well and he will have to find minutes for them, hence the smallball lineups lately.

If a guard ends up being traded, it will be Blake, as has always been the plan.
i'm sorry(well not really) but that is ridiculous.

small ball lineups have been because frye, ike, and shavlik all suck and have either been terrible this year(frye and ike) or aren't good enough to ever see the floor(shavlik).

if these small ball lineups were trying out things for when blake comes back, you'd have seen some lineups with sergio and bayless on the court together as that is what would have to happen for the 3 of them to all get minutes.

so even if nate said it, i don't believe him. you can't give out meaningful minutes to 3 different pgs. there just aren't enough minutes to go around. and really the only way blake is being traded if a really good pg is coming to portland in the deal.

sergio was definitely smothering westbrook when he let him get multiple offensive rebounds.

mike barrett loves him some blake. i used to be okay with it god damn you could swear blake is john stockton or something. bayless>>blake IMO

the laker game was just during half time(and maybe the first minute of the 2nd half). during commercials in the first half, it would go to the rockets game and then stick there for a while before eventually coming back.

i assume he was watching the same feed as me.

So far this year:

Sergio = Assist every 4.6 mins/TO every 11.59 mins/PF every 11.60 mins

Jerryd = Assist every 8.93 mins/TO every 11.83 mins/PF ever 7.63 mins

I like that Jerryd avoided his usual foolish rookie fouls tonight, but he did so by waving his cape for Westbrook.

Get over it man, they compliment each other well; Bayless plays better defense, everyone here and the analysts know it, (except you)

However, Sergio is more experienced running the team. So it's a give and take on every day they play. However, I guarantee that in three years, Bayless will be better. Even though I do love Sergio, I think that's the truth.

I have never said anything resembling that.

I miss maybe 1-2 games a year.

1 this year so far.

But you like to make shit up so whatever floats your boat.

Maybe, but the team still operates better with blake. It has been my hope since the pre-season that Bayless would overtake Blake and Sergio and become the starter. He hasn't earned it yet, but I'm still hoping it will happen sometime after the break. Not sure Nate feels comfortable with 3 rookies starting, though. (Unless we get Wallace, but that's another story...)

I agree they compliment each other, I disagree about the defense and so did Nate recently in print, saying Jerryd was lost out there when it comes to team defensive schemes and help defense, and I fully expect they will be playing side-by-side alot in 3 years, or much sooner.

Sergio at the point and Jerryd at the SG.

Well thank goodness that isn't an issue, since what we're talking about are 1 PG Sergio, 1 SG Jerryd, and one Combo guard Steve.

For how easy it is to spread the PT around see Porter, Drexler, and Ainge.

repeating over and over that bayless isn't a pg doesn't make it true.

I'll give MARIS credit, he's gonna ride this out until the bitter end. I've never seen someone so in love with such an inconsistent, mediocre player as Sergio. But hey, whatever floats your boat

Don't you get embarrassed lying in print? I mean, why do you even post if you're going to lie?

It doesn't make you appear very bright.

Westbrook vs Sergio = 2 offensive boards, 1 defensive board

Westbrook vs Jerryd = 6 offensive boards, 3 defensive boards

Bayless has a great talent for scoring 1-on-1, and we need that, so why not use that as evidence of his value, instead of claiming he is something he most clearly is not?

As a defender in this league, he's absolutely nothing special.

Yet.

again, there you go basing everything off who was in the game at the same time on the play by play. unfortunately, that doesn't actually tell you anything.

though to be fair, in my post about the offensive rebounds i did almost add that bayless wasn't really better in that regard.

Neither does saying he is.

Time will tell, and I guarantee Jerryd will make his mark in this league, but in the end he will be remembered as a tenacious SG.

Well, I suppose it's better than being known as a point guard who couldn't cut it in the league and left after his 3rd year. :dunno:

Back from the game. No complaints at all other than the refs flat out stunk for much of the game. The better team finally came through, though. Rudy was ELECTRIC in the 4th, Bayless was very good tonight, Outlaw made some big plays, Roy could have scored 40 if he had wanted to, and Oden was dominant inside.

It's a great day to be a Blazer!

Man you're reaching so far on this you must have elastic arms.

It tells me Westbrook got 9 of his 12 boards while Bayless was supposed to be guarding him, and 3 when Sergio was locking him down.

The boxscore says Blazers 106, Okies 92, but I guess you'd say it's debateable who won?

I doubt it will take Jerryd 3 years to figure that out, and he'll find ample PT at his natural position, which is so obviously SG.

This team has struggled without Blake. It gets down big at times to teams it has no business trailing by double digits. There is no way it is "bye bye Blake" at this point, Bayless may take over the PG spot; Sergio is on his way out of Portland within a year.

She had a blast. After I loaded her up on popcorn and then chocolate yogurt, she started dancing with the kids in our section during the timeouts, and they all had the "DEFENSE" chant down pat with the Thundersticks. Side note: Who knew Buffalo Wild Wings was so cheap when you don't buy beer and you take a 4 year-old there for dinner?

All things considered, I think every player contributed well, with nobody having a bad game, and we dumped some revenge on the Okies.

The evening was a rousing success.
