I can tell you one thing.... I won't know.

Cuz I'll be at your house with the Mrs. every game night until the season is over!

Well if you consider me one, you won't hear a damn thing! Old mags is back and sexier than ever!

"We're not making shots!"

"We gotta scrap more!"

"Why aren't we running the ISO?!?"

Honest answer: I will be inclined to cut the team a lot more slack - except for Felton and Crawford.

Honestly I'll be excited to see what the young guys have to offer.

They better not go on a big winning streak and screw up "the plan". Starting Thabust (I love that nickname, nic) and Flynn would help ensure the plan stays on track. :)

I think you already know what they can offer don't you?

any more news on Ewill Hcp? this is aperfect situation for him to ge a lot of minutes but I am worried about that shoulder

The current state of the team is what makes the E-Will injury so unfortunate. He'd probably be looking at a solid 25 minutes per game right now.

You really think they will cut back on Crawford and Felton's minutes though? And we have heard nothing on EW.

The pimple has been popped, and while the puss is still oozing out of the sore, at least the most painful instant when the skin splits and the blackhead squeezes out like giving birth is done.

Sure, there's some bandaging and wiping out of dark, coagulated blood left, and there could still be infection from the open sore, but the damn thing is popped and that's awesome!

:ghoti:

Remember the general thought surrounding the team after KP took over as coach back in 05? I think he won like 5 out of his 27 games or something, but people were still enthusiastic because it showed that the team had a sense of direction and purpose. I feel the same way now. (Getting Steve Blake or Ridnour today would have made me feel the opposite).

What fucked us over in 04-05 was management screwing up drafts (Marty) and giving big money to the wrong players (Miles, Zbo, etc). This summer is HUGE for us. Screwing this up can set us back years.

But I'm still very happy with the moves today.

Exactamundo!!

Hell yeah! Why wouldn't they? I expect that it was communicated to Canales what his job is going to be for the rest of the year. Just like when KP was an interim GM. We're not going anywhere now, so you try to figure out what you have with the players that will be on your roster beyond this year.

Felton hasn't helped us - why should we put him on the floor and let him show the NBA what he has and earn his next contract? I expect JC and Felton will still play, but as long as we have 12 healthy guys everynight, I expect those two's minutes will be cut.

Thanks for that rosy image of the State of Rip City!

Flynn, Nolan Smith, Elliot Williams, Nicolas in a featured role ... and no Nate McMillan? No, I don't think I know at all.

That's actually a really good point. I'm very curious to see how Nic Batum will do under a different coach than Nate.

I just got home and wanted to hear the talk in PDX about this and am getting pissed off. Dumbass fans bitching about how we traded two of our better players. Do these people not realize that this team was going nowhere as is?

Yeah, but people are by rule mostly stupid. You shouldn't be surprised.

And now Canzano is talking about urinals on such a watershed day. Fuck this. I'm switching to national radio.

Talking to the casual fan is infuriating anyway. The overall lack of knowledge that most casual fans have is annoying and intolerable, that's why I avoid talking about sports with someone unless I know them.

HCP, was there a team practice today? Do the players ever get together off the floor with coaches?

They did, but now Kaleb wont' be getting any more invites over for charades or badminton.
