Did you guys see Garnett throw that elbow after Outlaw posterized him? It was in the last minute of the game. THEN he throws a 'bow on the other end of the court at LMA!!! PUNK BITCH! How long until we get that kind of freedom on the court?

Email the Blazers to send the videotape to the league office. One off these days, they'll deal with Garnett's bullshit.

This is one of the downsides to having a team of choir boys. One good elbow to the adam's apple, and KG won't pull that crap anymore.

Where is Kermit Washington when we really need him?

Forget Kermit. For the next game against Boston, bring #20 down from the rafters and let Luke wear it one more game. KG will shut his trap after 30 seconds of dealing with The Enforcer.

KG. Punk. Bitch.

KG. The Roach.

KG. Overrated.

Damn, I'm off on the haiku. KG's shit is as weak as my poetry. Very cheap and soft.

I'd risk getting banned from the Rose Garden by throwing various objects at KG.

What I find even worse is that the refs appear to be afraid of him. I used to think KG was alright. Can't stand him now.

biggest scumbag in the NBA = KG and it isnt close

it's crazy how quick people turn on players as soon as they win something. Before he played for the Celtics KG was just known as being emotional and a great player being labeled as underrated....once someone reaches a certain height it's natural that poeple want to beat them back down. True he's pulling out the elbows...but when has he not? He's not the only one...I'm sure if you watched enough tape, even the "cleanest" players undercut rules sometimes. People rag on him for talking smack to small players...hell, he's been talking smack for the longest time....to all players...that's just part of the game...if you can get a mental edge just by calling names more power to ya. True you can just play physical right back....but it won't shut him up. He's vetran and he'll just get up and go right back at it again.

I know I'm gonna get a collective target put on my back now from everyone on this thread since I seem to be the only one against the grain...lol. I just think it's pretty bad that KG is now so harshly labeled...on a dirtiness level MJ was as big a trash talker as it gets and he did plenty of pulling, pushing and elbows....does that make him a "scumbag"? I'm just saying...this is a sport...very competitive...and although I don't condone that stuff....it's part of the game...your in it to win it...everyone toes the line and gets away with what they can...it does seem wrong that vets seem to get away with more...but it's nothing new...and it will continue to go on long after KG is gone.

All I'm saying is, sure you can dislike him for throwing elbows and the like, but to call him overrated and a scumbag player is rather harsh...contrary to what many on here might say...KG is a top 50 player and is a future Hall of Famer...

It's not the trash talking. KG started the game by getting a huge pile of talc/rosin on his hands, then going to the announcers table and blowing the powder all over the table. No reason for that crap. KG was throwing elbows all game. The guy is a POS, and the Blazers should send Joel out to clock him at the start of the game to loosen up a few of his teeth.

Yeah, I never understood why players have to make a scene with the damn talc powder....

Because Jordan did it. Now others want to emulate him. He had a running thing going with Johnny Red Kerr back in the day, and would always clap the powder in his face as a joke. Complaining about KG doing that is just nitpicking.

As for only complaining about him now that he has won, I dunno about others, I have hated the guy for about as long as he has been "good". Meaning, he was good his rookie year, but when he started to get recognized, it was obvious how much of a tread he was. I think you hear more about it now because he has been on so many commercials and televised games in the last year and a half that more and more of the casual fans are starting to notice as well.

Do you mean that before or after Maurice is carried out on a stretcher, because his body gave out on him?

I don't think he's overrated. He's a great forward. I don't think he's a scumbag either, he's a punk bitch.

He fouled Outlaw and then tried to chicken wing him right after the dunk. That's not going for a board or trying to get post position. It's a cheap shot.

I've always really liked Garnett. Sure, he's an arrogant prick, but the great ones often are. The guy is an amazing defender, and good passer, a great rebounder, an emotional leader....I'd love to have him on my team. If KG can go on to win one or two more championships, the debate of who is the best PF of all time (Duncan or Malone) is going to get even more complicated.

Funny that Aldridge is getting praise in both the article and this thread for being more like KG. Yet somehow KG is evil, and Aldridge isn't.

Wow...I'm glad I'm not the only one here defending him as a great player...lol...it gets awful hot here in hell...lol:devilwink:

warts and all he's an all time great, no doubt about it. If some posters only want to talk about his warts, that doesn't change the bottom line.

His warts being trash talking and some high elbows don't hold a candle to Karl Malone's in my book. The Mailman's dirty play regularly sent guys to the hospital... dude was a walking cheap shot with the sort of bad intent KG hasn't come anywhere close to matching. Off the court he was a Deadbeat Dad to many including twins by his HS girlfriend... hell, while in college he impregnated a 13 year old and then avoided any and all contact with her and the boy after. Dude was also an all time flopper... everyone loves floppers.

Greatness in basketball and being an admirable player aren't necessarily the same thing, but personally I'm a big fan of Tim Duncan :)

but nobody flops like Vlade....lol

Yeah, I was thinking about Malone and Lambier as well.

I was just kinda tired of previous posters feeding into the comments of KG being rather "punkish"...lol. It' like since he talks trash and throws high elbows...he had to be a garbage player and overrated...I just had to step in an express my thoughts on how great a player he is and how he has strung together a Hall of Fame worthy career without a doubt.

While I'm not a hug fan of his histrionics on the court, he has done a lot to reinvent the PF spot in the last decade or so.

Does anyone remember him talking this much trash back in the days when the Wolves were terrible? I went to a lot of those games in the RG, and while he played great, he didn't seem to talk a ton of trash or throw the bows like he's done since being traded to the C's.

I know you hate Aldridge, but watch this video. He should be your favorite player now. :devilwink:

Lamarcus is no bitch. If somebody brings it to him, he doesn't back down. Sometimes I wish he'd take it to them first though. That will come as he gets older.

I love Garnett as a villain... a character I love to hate. If it were not for the likes of the Garnett, last nights win wouldn't have been as special.

Give Oden a few more months and KG will be a different player against the Blazers. Last night against the champs gave Greg all the confidence he'll need for the rest of the season!

your right, M'man...I was saying that to. He was labeled as emotional and competitive until he won a championship....now it's a big issue and he's a menace and disgrace to the sport? Seriously...so it's only an issue if his team is winning then...alright....now I get it....lol:ghoti:

All the players I have hated the most I am sure I would *love* if they were Blazers. I like to believe Kobe is the exception... it helps me maintain my sanity... but I pray I never have to find out.

Oh yeah, wasn't this kid just drafted in the late rounds of the NFL draft or maybe second round NBA or something like that. I just remember commentators making a big deal about it being Malone's kid and the kid basically disowned his dad.
