Season is over.

I don't like the sentence, " Stotts was holding us back", but, as usual, there wasn't another options for "super excited about all the possibilities".

Just felt it was another slight on Terry. He was a good coach. Some make him out to be some total loser. I don't appreciate that take, and thought it was an unnecessary inclusion in the poll.
Good coach...but a rookie coach who has never coached before is better?

We're still playing basketball? I completely forgot since a fucking month passed between preseason games.
i think the teams get to pick their schedule and opponents to an extent in preseason. I bet this was by choice. Play one game-- figure out what to improve and have practice for a whole week to work on it. I like it.

I think it will be an average season. Make the playoffs 6-8 seed, and a first round exit.

We will be the first play in team to win the championship!

I think the Blazers will be somewhere between 6-10 in the seedings (I think very few games will separate those seeds), the Blazers will reach the first round and either get swept or "gentleman's swept" and Fez will be bumping the Fire Olshey thread nonstop.

Without a major move (which I don't trust Olshey to make) we will be a play-in team and lose in the first round. We may have gotten a little better but not better than the teams we were worse than last season and if everyone is relatively healthy that will put us in the play-ins. There is also the chance that a young team like the Grizzlies or Pelicans make a huge leap forward and are on our level or ahead of us.

Unlike Chauncey I don't think our extreme lack of size 1-3 can be covered up during the regular season. We had a run but now we will be scouted and teams with more balanced rosters will look to take advantage of that obvious weakness.

We really need to move CJ for a forward, Ben Simmons is the most available right now and given the right role would be the perfect fit here. Something needs to be done but Olshey has been consistent playing it safe so I fear nothing will get done.

These are just my feeling, we'll have to see how it actually plays out. I'm open minded and hopeful that I'm wrong and that this roster will compete for HCA and a chance to win in the playoffs but even my wildest dreams don't have us as a contender, with Dame and CJ as our two best players.

I have the uneasy feeling Billups may be like Monty Williams. A good coach who will have some success - but not in his first job. There are just too many things that could go wrong with this team. There is only so much any coach can do, particularly a rookie. (and please don't compare that to Stotts who had nine years and was on his third head job when he got here)

My optimistic scenario is that he gets the most out of the team and they make a late push into the play-offs. Hopefully there are enough positive signs to impress Dame into giving him another chance.

The why I see it yes probably better ball movement but it's still orchardist around guards getting majority of the shots and with Dame and CJ I can see that. But the defense is still my biggest concern with this team because our height in starting lineup and Dame and CJ still as to prove that there going all in playing that side of the floor.

Monty is horribly overrated as a coach. Take Chris Paul off that team, and they're barely a .500 team

(yes, take Dame off the Blazers and they suck ass, but Monty has had 3 winning seasons in his career. 2 of those were with Chris Paul on his team, and the other had Anthony Davis. His teams have missed the playoffs more times than they made it, and seriously, take Chris Paul off that team and he's a mediocre coach)

Stotts was definitely holding us back, with that said, I'm less optimistic than I was after watching the GS game, I think it will take us some time getting used to the new system and finding our rotations. But I'm relieved to have a coach that I don't think I know more basketball than he does, this means we will get better, this means we'll be more competitive come playoff time, so I'm catiously optimistic

My mood is that Blevins being paid to play in the NBA is an absolute joke. Why the hell did he start last night?

I've had enough time to overcome the gloom and doom I walked out of the Moda Center with in June - back to irrational hope that somehow, some way, this is going to work. We're going to be healthy and kick ass!
