Gavin started doing updates in the morning for cowheard 10 years ago and now is taking a job for the most important time slot of the day in the 8th largest media market, and he got there by hard work, somthing to commend not throw under the bus.

The forced "manspeak" between Gavin, Chad, and Dwight was what pissed me off about listening to them in the morning. The beer-swigging, titty-bar, ribald testosterone-fueled banter and the obligatory "dude"s, "brah"s, and various generic Tim Allen schtick-esque terms was funny for about 10 minutes, but then really got old and annoying after a while. You just got the sense that their wives just slapped the shit out of them when they got home for some of the retarded stuff they said on-air.

I won't miss Gavin. He knew his sports, but he wrapped that knowledge too much in his act, like Rome does.

Also, a lot of the comments are that Gavin shouldn't sell his Portland home because the time slot he is taking over has chewed up about 12 different hosts already...they also referred to him as "another West Coast jackass"...sweet!

Gavin is a cool dude. I used to exchange messages on myspace with him when he was doing the blazer post game shows for 1080 roys rookie year. He def knows basketball even tho it didn't seem like it on the msp.
