These two have pretty much been the only reliable scoring options for the Nets so far this season. So I was thinking that there should be a shift in the offense to get these guys more scoring opportunities and get more shots up and such.
Carter is averaging about 16.3 shot per game while Jefferson is at 16.6. Other teams come into the game and try to load up on them to try and force them to give up the ball, so Frank has to come up with a way to get them more and easier scoring opportunities. Perhaps having more catch and shoot plays for them is one way to do it. Have them come off screens and instruct them to look for the shot if they have some air space. And run this play frequently for both of them. Also stop running plays where opposing players can comfortably leave their guy to double off on Carter or Jefferson (e.g. the high pick set by Collins where his defender leaves him to double on Carter leaving an open Collins to catch the pass at the foul line and then Collins desperately looking to give the ball away to anyone.)
Less plays where they have to give up the ball to an open Wright or Armstrong and more plays where Carter and Jefferson are looking to score before the defense loads up on them.
