Have a couple thousand CDs and at least 800 DVDs...... all in perfect condition. Haven't used them in at least 4 years. Have everything downloaded now. Wondering if any of you guys have experience in selling your collection. Am I best off taking them to a used shop like Everyday Music here in town or selling them on ebay or craigslist. Never sold anything on those sites before. Any opinions?

you will be lucky to recoup 5% of their initial cost, unless you sell them 1 at a time at a flea market

Before you get rid of some of those DVD's, make sure I sign off on the ones of me and the Mrs.

assholes, all of you! actually was looking for advice from you guys. I should have known better then to ask you clowns. Wish you guys would be more like me and be serious!

hahahahaha Damnit! Somebody just give me a grand and they are all yours!

I was going to say you'd be best off if you had some sort of list. I've sold these on CL and eBay, and it NEVER fails. No matter what, people want to see a list. If you have a list, try CL first (since it's free). Then tell people there's a minimum $ purchase, or minimum item purchase. Cuz you don't want 1000 people coming to your house to look through them.

I'd be interested in some, but I don't want to get stuck with the whole lot. I'm sure you've got tons of crap music in there like Britney Spears, Madonna, New Kids on the Block, Vanilla Ice..... And movies like "My Little Pony" and "Bridges of Madison County."

if you go by

cd = $10
dvd = $15

you have $32,000 wrapped up in this shit, you would be getting 3% of your money back at $1000
