Well shit Denny, I thought you were done? You just can't stand that you got smashed in this debate. The fact remains is GM labeling doesn't hurt the economic structure of Agriculture. In fact, it promotes free enterprise. It allows the consumer to make their own damn choice, diversifying the economic structure. Farmer A can grow GM crops and supposedly grow more, but must sell for less. Farmer B can choose not to use GM crops and get more value for their yield, but supposedly have reduced yields. And Farmer C can go all in with Organic Farming and have the highest return on yield and have the least amount of yield.

What this does is allow the consumer to have a choice. To decide for themselves what they choose to eat. If consumer A (you) sees nothing wrong with GM crops, then you get the Walmart discount for your produce. If consumer B (general mid grade consumer) doesn't see anything wrong with commercial farming, but worry about the GM crops can pay a little more for piece of mind. Consumer C (Tree huggers and health fanatics) wants to be natural and consume only the best possible produce can pay the extra money and eat truly naturally.

You're buying into a scam. Good luck with that.

Good luck with what? The fact that my company is successful? That we supply to commercial, organic and GM farmers? That supplies to Sunkist, Bonita Banana, and various other large farming countries are because I am using "scare tactics"?

Yeah I guess my luck is pretty damn good, thank you very much.

Want a medal or a chest to pin it on?

Now I'm enjoying the comedy routine.

I'm sure this is beyond your comprehension, but maybe you'll read it anyway.

You quote from anticapitalist sites as if they have no agenda. Monsanto is evil, say the anti capitalists.

You are being scammed.

The scholarly articles that both study and review scholarly studies, and by the thousands, debunk your hogwash.

But you win!

"There is nothing wrong because the FDA says it's okay" --- Denny

Between 1994 and 1996 he moved to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), where he was Administrator of the Food Safety & Inspection Service. During that term he implemented a science-based approach ( called Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP)) to raising safety standards for meat and poultry production[11] over the protests from industry, which has been called by food safety advocates "a truly heroic accomplishment"

You go boy!

Between 1996 and 2000, after briefly returning to King & Spalding, he then went to work for Monsanto as a Vice President for Public Policy.[14]
In 1999, a lawsuit (Alliance For Bio-Integrity v. Shalala[15][16]) and GAO report revealed considerable disagreement within the FDA concerning decisions about biotechnology products made during Taylor's tenure there. The lawsuit and report also revealed that Mr. Taylor had recused himself from matters related to Monsanto’s BGH and had “never sought to influence the thrust or content” of the agency’s policies on Monsanto’s products.

Hmmm…..

Meet Michael R. Taylor, J.D., Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Veterinary Medicine
Michael R. Taylor

Michael R. Taylor was named deputy commissioner for foods at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in January 2010. He is the first individual to hold the position, which was created along with a new Office of Foods in August 2009.
Mr. Taylor is leading FDA efforts to
- develop and carry out a prevention-based strategy for food safety
- plan for new food safety legislation
- ensure that food labels contain clear and accurate information on nutrition
"I am fully committed to working with my FDA colleagues to make the changes necessary to ensure the safety of America’s food supply from farm to table," said Mr. Taylor.

Well shit, no wonder the USDA is currently saying "GM crops are safe!" Hahaha

Meet Clarence Thomas

Clarence Thomas (born June 23, 1948) is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Succeeding Thurgood Marshall, Thomas is the second African American to serve on the Court.

Thomas was admitted to the Missouri bar on September 13, 1974.[25] From 1974 to 1977, Thomas was an Assistant Attorney General of Missouri under then State Attorney General John Danforth, who met Thomas at Yale Law School. Thomas was the only black member of Danforth's staff.[26] As Assistant Attorney General, Thomas first worked at the criminal appeals division of Danforth's office and moved on to the revenue and taxation division.[27] Retrospectively, Thomas considers Assistant Attorney General the best job he has ever had.[28] When Danforth was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1976, Thomas left to become an attorney with the Monsanto Company in St. Louis, Missouri.[29] He moved to Washington, D.C. and returned to work for Danforth from 1979 to 1981 as a Legislative Assistant handling energy issues for the Senate Commerce Committee.[30] The two men shared a common bond in that they had studied to be ordained (although in different denominations). Danforth was to be instrumental in championing Thomas for the Supreme Court.

I'm giving Denny the decision in this debate.

• U.S. Political Campaign Contributions (2000–2012)
• U.S. Lobbying Expenditures (2000–2012)

Well shit, at least they lobby for the good of our country right?!?!

Approximately 99 percent of the polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) used by U.S. industry were produced by Monsanto at its Sauget, Illinois, plant until all PCB production was banned nationwide by Congress in 1976.

Wait their mission is for the good of our environment right?!?!

Notable Monsanto events that changed the world!
