Portland mentality... "you want me to pay to watch you do something? Fucking sellout facist pig!"
Pretty much. Don't get me wrong, I love Portland. But, every show I've played in a different state has been better than anything I've played in Portland. People just don't Give a shit.

I wish I could be able to say this, I just don't love Portland... Hell outside of the Blazers I don't even like Portland.

I love Oregon.....I visit Portland....loved it many decades ago...now enjoy it for a weekend now and then...as to the music scene....I prefer the Northern California circuit....and night life...3 days in San Francisco I can get my urban yaya's out. After that....fuck that place for a month and a half at least

L.A. shows are really fun to play as well. I think the best crowd I have ever played for was at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. People had so much fun.

Just say you don't like big cities. Because outside of like San Diego, Portland is the best big city I've visited. I've traveled a lot, too. If you don't like hipsters just stay away from Hawthorne and a couple other spots. Portland has a lot to offer. There's a reason the city has grown at a rapid rate and it has nothing to do with the local economy, of that I'm sure.

I don't mind big cities I just personally think Portland is extremely subpar. It may have a lot to offer for others but for me it's boring. There is some good food though, I will give it that.

Sacramento smells like cow paddies.
Yet they still land higher profile free agents than us...

I must admit I have been a little surprised by the change in perception of Portland. People I would run into used to rave about Portland when they found out I was from there. They could not understand why I left. They loved to visit for a variety of reasons.

And now in the last two years all they talk about is how aggressive the homeless are in the downtown area. I have no idea if they are right or wrong, just that the perception has changed dramatically in a short time and many have said they have no desire to go back.
Sucks if your livelihood depends on tourism.

Groups like antifa and the Trump people rampaging through the streets constantly will lower the perception.
