fucking win one for the gipper or someshit!

hell yes, fuck the 'aints, gonna get killed like when they used to be in the nfc west themselves

Man, I thought it was over.... reminds me of that win over the Giants where Owens caught a pass very similar to the one that Davis caught today. Defense played great. Offense played great when it mattered. Bring on the Packers! (but I wouldn't complain if it was the Giants)

Looks like you got your wish lol. Can't believe the Niners are closer to winning a championship than the Blazers are, given the recent history of both teams.

Hell yeah!! GO NINERS!!! I'll be watching this one while partying in Vegas (but would rather be at the game - Vegas is a close 2nd!).

Giants are playing some damn good football right now. Beating the Packers at Lambo is huge.

Absolutely. The NFC Championship Game should be quite the event. I wouldn't be surprised to see a game similar to this last week's Niners-Saints game. As a Niners fan, I would rather play the Giants in SF than the Packers at Lambeau. But the Giants have so much experience and know how to win close, tough playoffs games versus the Niners inexperience.

As well as the Giants are playing, I'll take them at Candlestick over the Packers at Lambeau any day.

Kind of hard to believe, but if Eli is somehow able to guide the Giants to a Super Bowl victory, he'll then have more SB rings than Peyton.

Dan Marino + 0 rings, Trent Dilfer + 1 ring = Much harder to believe.

Yeah, how many QB's in the last 30 years have multiple rings?

I think its only Brady, Roethlisberger, Aikmen, Elway, Montana....

fuck the niners. dont' know why everyone in Oregon cheers for them.

Personally, I like what Harbaugh has done with this team. Kind of a rags-to-riches story. I love those.

its the truth. i think its all the shittalking friends from the bay area i've had, I have resented when they represent the yay area.

I don't plan to visit there any time soon. I'll put it that way. ;)

i was there like 2 weeks ago. i like the city, but the rest is wack-o-la.

I don't see much difference between Frisco and Seattle.

really? Seattle is a bunch of yuppie scum. SF is a little grittier, but they still have money but they're not so nouveau riche about it.

I hate the Seahawks passionatly; I've had to put up with having every single one of their crap games shoved on my TV because it's "local" coverage for 20 years. Meanwhile we're missing coverage of an epic battle between elite teams so Portland can be shown every second of a 3-11 celler dweller.

niner fan my whole life, was born in oakland, grew up in san jose

ive been a fan the last ten years when they sucked asshole, so i get to enjoy their success even more now

Cuz they're fucking rad, dude. Been a Niners fan since long before I even knew what the fuck football was.

There are a lot of SF Giants and Niners fans in Oregon. Both Seattle teams sucked for long and so hard that I think a lot of people supported those teams, since they were the closest respectable franschises in their leagues. Both has some pretty rich history, overall. As for myself, I have a lot of family from CA, including the Bay Area, so I've always supported those teams.

lots of peeps moved from cali to oregon as well, and brought their fav teams with them. thank god i never ended up a warriors fan though!

Dude, all of CA is whack. It's all so different, that it should be cut into like 3 states (maybe 4 so that Disneyland is its own state). I make it down to LA 2-3 times/year and SF 3-4 times/year.

LA is confusing as fuck (and that's even with my wife, who is from Pasadena, traveling with me). One minute, you seem to be in a decent area. The next moment, you're stepping through ghetto. I'll never forget my first visit to the USC campus. Rich, beautiful campus. We leave, and I drive not two blocks, and it's straight fuckin' ghetto.
