GO SEAHAWKS!

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Seriously though, I don't know how anyone from Portland can root for a team from Seattle.

My reason: So they can get pounced by my Falcons a week from today. :)

Seattle has music clubs? I thought everything up there was coffee shops?

Seattle has one of the best music scenes in the country. Not just a bunch of great clubs, but lots of cool indie bands.

They also have a very fine coffee scene.

Seattle is a great city. I love it up there. I root for the Hawks and the M's as well. They have great stadiums and they are the only MLB and NFL venues I can get to relatively easily.

Isn't that because the other NFL and MLB venues on the West Coast have retraining orders against you?

injuries. They had no running game really.

Its still bullshit that a 7-9 got to host a playoff game against an 11-5 team.

Your 11-5 team should have won... but they didnt. Scoreboard!

I do think the NFL should make a rule that a division winner must have an above .500 record to make the playoffs. If they dont, it goes to the next wild card team. But, how would they determine who gets to host the game?

But since there is no such rule now... I'll take the W! GO SEAHAWKS! Sorry AINT fans! ha ha! Your boys choked!

Yet they have a Superbowl victory in their history books...

:O

Ummm us Aint's fans won the Superbowl last year. I can live with the 1st round exit.

The Bears are going to chew up and spit out the grody Chickens next weekend.

Seattle is only good at home with the HCA. It was their only chance at winning in the playoffs and they never should have had that advantage over a team that was 11-5. They won, that's good for them, but it's still bullshit.

And hilarious.

I'm pretty sure that Marshawn Lynch TD run is one of the most impressive runs I've ever seen in my life. Broke 8 tackles, and that stiff arm to Tracy Porter was epic, I'm pretty sure he threw a good 5 yards on that.

The initial burst was nice. But, after that it was mainly just piss poor tackling.

So is Seattle portlandish then? It seems like a decent place from afar, with some charming people.

I've always liked their music scene as well.

wow, people trying to downplay that Lynch run need to calm the f down. that was a thing of beauty.

Not a Seahawk fan. Love Lynch though, ever since he was at Cal.

I can't decide whether I really care about this upset. I think I'm indifferent to it.

Shocked as hell, though.

Never lived in Portland. From what I've heard and read, Portland sounds quite nice, too.

You didn't think it was piss poor tackling? Three or four of the guys who tried to tackle him in the secondary were just embarrassing. In fact, I didn't see one, good, hit on him throughout the whole run.

Sure, if you want to be like that, it's easy.

Guy hits game winning HR - "that's just piss poor pitching".
Guy hits game winning 3 pt shot - "that's just bad perimeter defense"
Guy scores game winning goal - "that's just terrible goaltending"

Nobody can ever do anything good, their opponents are just that bad.

Hey, I'm not saying it wasn't a great run.... but I think most of the "cool" is because it was the score that sealed the deal for Seattle. I think there have been plenty of other great runs that were equally impressive or better. Hell, Barry Sanders probably had three or four runs like that per season.

You don't think it was bad tackling? You ever play football?

Pretty much every great run features a number of people who could have tackled the ball-carrier. If he goes untouched, it wasn't a great run because the ball-carrier didn't have to do anything (and, again, you could complain that it was terrible defense not to ever get in position to make a tackle).

As with all great runs, it was a mix of defensive miscues and a great job by the running back.
