At some point, I hope that the majority of Americans will understand that Memorial Day is to remember those who have died while serving and protecting, and that Veterans' Day is for all current and former military personnel.

I thank all veterans and current members of the military for their service, but this weekend is to reflect and remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for this great country.

my grandpa and a couple other veterans of WWII were honored at the "new" veterans memorial by the hillsboro fairgrounds. It was cool, Suzanne Bonamici was there
