Golden State better than the Blazers?

Golden State is smoking the Heat right now in Miami. Shooting 64% well into the 3rd Q

If I'm being honest I'd say they would beat the Blazers in a playoff series. They're pretty close, but I think GS is just a tad better.

I think a series between them would depend on who has HCA.

I hope GSW keeps beating the Heat tonight, but the only game I really care about is Bobcats vs Portland.

Probably true

The Blazers put up 113 points on the Warriors (admittedly without Iguodala) and 106 on the Pacers. I don't think that these vaunted defenses would be the major issue in a playoff series. Whoever scores the most, wins.

But what will stats guys point to as evidence of their expertise if we just look at the score board?

And, seriously, WTF does Portland have to do with GS anyway? Holy inferiority complex Batman! That the writer goes right after Portland tells you the Blazer are the better team. It's killing E-SPiN that the cool kids in GS aren't quite as cool as the Blazers.

We've beaten OKC (twice), Indiana, SA, Clippers, and Rockets. AND we beat the Warriors silly after Wes and Mo got ejected IN Golden State. GS isn't on our level.

The supposed splash brothers from three point line:

Thompson: 40.6%
Curry: 40.9 %

Our guys:

Matthews: 43.1%
Lillard: 43.6 %

OK, so Nic can handle Steph if he gets into Superman mode. I'm not afraid of Lee/Bogut outdoing LMA/Lopez. Iggy v. Matthews?

Basically, it comes down to who's hot, and I have a better feeling about us containing Lee and Curry than them containing Lillard and LMA. Taking nothing away from GSW--they're a heckuva team--but I'm not scared of matching up with them.

Steph in very fun to watch, and when he's on, it's awesome.

Lillard is just a touch behind, but getting there. I'm stoked for that.

But if this person was healthy, we'd be good.... or if that person was healthy, we'd be good..... If Brandon Roy was still healthy, the Blazers would be amazing.

No! I think we would be about as good as the Blazers were when Roy was good. The Blazers are a much better team now.

I think the Blazers will need to win a first round series before we get to find out how they will fair with the Warriors. That in it's self will be the most awesome feat in years.

I'm a homer but I think we are easily better than Golden State. We have way more threats offensively. If you can contain one of the guards for the Warriors you will win the game. You can't say that about the Blazers.

Curry + Thompson = 193 3PM
Lillard + Matthews = 198 3PM

Blazers > Warriors

:)

I'm a homer, but I don't. They're a very good team when healthy.

Bragging about performance against the Bobcats makes me so flaccid.

Dude, we crushed the Bobcats... get on board the bandwagon. Best team in the league.

Ohhhhhhhhh yeah

GS fans posting on the Blazer forum makes me feel sorry for you and your thimble.

Don't let my criticisms stop you from fully celebrating your victory over the Bobcats tonight. They're better than they look on paper, you should be proud.

Were we supposed to beat a better team tonight? I didn't realize we had a choice. Was Portland's last win in OKC good enough for you?

Trade benches last season, Warriors don't make playoffs and Blazers win at least one series.
