She'll probably do it for Cash Considerations.Isn't Tonya Harding a Blazer fan? Perhaps she can get a few of her friends to swing some pipes at the legs of the Warriors?
35 wins would be a solid number to aim for. That still puts us in the 5th-6th highest odds for the #1 again this year.My goal is now 35. Still need to see huge improvements in Shae and ideally Ayton. Of course, Scoot has to fulfil expectations.
Yeah I was just looking through the entire schedule. Most of the teams that we play 3-4 times a year (WC teams) are looking to make the playoffs. Most of the teams that are in our level of talent are in the east. ATL, CHI, TOR, IND, ORL, CHA, DET, we only play these teams twice a year, and they all be settling around the 35 win mark just due to the fact that the talent difference between each team is marginal. I think 30 wins is likely, 35 wins is optimistic, anything close to 38-40 wins is an overachieving season. We would probably have around the 5th best odds with 30 wins, anywhere from the 6th to 9th best odds with 35ish wins.ya... a bit generous for me. I say 28 wins.
I also know we'll be closely monitored by the league late in the year, but our FO is MVP at tanking.
I posted this elsewhere but it's worth repeating here to counter all the gloom and doom predictions for the Warriors this season... Vegas oddsmakers currently have them the 6th most likely to win the title in 23-24.

of course they could suffer a rash of injuries and suck, they are an older team after all. If that doesn't happen they should make the playoffs and Portland will get a crummy pick in a draft that seems to lack star power.

The only way I see us losing this pick is if they have injuries and get fucking really lucky with ping pong balls. The only way GS tanks, is if they have a bunch of injuries early on and a top 4 pick is probable. They don't have a frp guaranteed. So, why tank unless it's an obvious bottom of the cellar year from the very beginning? Obviously, they are a playoff team with their current roster right now.

Oh, I know that the pick is guaranteed to be a first rounder protects top 4 in the upcoming draft, protected top 1 in the next and if by some chance they land a top for in 2024 and the number one pick in 2025, we then get it unprotected in 2026. I'm cool with the protections. If they some how get in lottery and get top 4 pick then the following year it’s only top 1 pick protected so we could potentially get an even better pick. They’re old and the slide down is coming sooner rather than later. They may have same decision with Curry as we had with Dame
About 12 places behind Portland's own pickWhere does the pick stand compared to yesterday? Up or down?
I'd put the chances of Steph requesting a trade from the W's at near zero and he remains an absolute cash cow for that franchise. They did win their 4th championship with Curry just 16 months ago... I don't see much comparable between Dame's situation in PDX and Curry's in the Bay. They had a lot go sideways last season but I'm sure they believe in their chances if they're right. Hell, according to Vegas they've a better shot at winning it all this season then Portland ever did with Dame. Perhaps it's just me, but the term "tank" connotes intent. A team of old guys becoming shockingly, suddenly much worse than expected would be, in my mind, simply a failure.Or they tank but its not intentional? This is a franchise thats been trying to contend and ended up with a high lottery pick half the years since Durant left.
Remember the Melo Lakers team 2 years ago? They thought they would contend with all these Hall of fame veterans then missed the playoffs by a ton. A team of old guys in the NBA can be shockingly suddenly much worse than how many expect.

Yes you are correct - I should have said they "tank" but its not intentional. As in the performance could end up nearly the same as some teams that tank while yes I don't think the intent would be the same, thus the quotes.Perhaps it's just me, but the term "tank" connotes intent. Podziemski could be a steal. One guy had him in his top 10.GSW looked sharp against the Lakers in the first pre-season game. Kuminga seems a lot more assertive and the young rook they got (Podziemski) could be something as well.
They haven’t really played anyone. They beat Sac twice and then Houston and New Orleans. They lost to Phoenix. I think Sac is coming back to earth a little bit. They’re not playing as well.Golden State looking very good right now. Injury probability still high with that roster though.
