Golden State Warriors pick watch

How could any logical person watch that replay and think it was an accident? He spun around and smacked Nurk in the side of the head, completely unprovoked. There's no excuse for this one.

Draymond tried his best to make it look like it could be an accident.

Haven't you ever swung around quickly and hit someone in the head with a semi-limp arm? It happens.

I wonder what this means? Are they giving him stipulations? Go to anger management class yadda yadda.

I was honestly wondering if they'd just suspend him for the rest of the season. I think he deserves it. He's done this way too many times. Stepping on Sabonis was very dangerous.

Anyway it's about time they dealt with that douche.

Barkley had a great point that the Warriors should come out and give Dray 10 games or something instead of the league, his employer has to let him know that he’s embarrassing them and see how he reacts. If he reacts poorly to that, it’s time to move on from him.

Poor Draymond. He just needs time "to deal with challenges he’s facing." Dray is the real victim here.

GS current records vs other WC teams, for tie breakers:

PHX (0-3, last game 2/10)
LAL (0-0, the first of four games isn’t until 1/27)
SAC (2-1, last game 1/25)
HOU (2-0, last game 4/4)
NO (1-0, two games 1/10, 4/12)
LAC (1-1, two games 12/14, 2/14)

GS next 10 games:
- 7 playoff teams (LAC, BRK, BOS, DEN, MIA, DAL, ORL
- us twice
- 1 cardio night (WAS)
Would be great if we can get one and split them. They might lose 6 of those other 7 against playoff teams. That would put them 7 games under .500 for the season. At that point it might be more likely they finish in the lottery than the playin.

Even if they move up to the playin good chance they lose there and we still get a lottery pick from them.

Just goes to show you should never write off a pick as being for certain at the end of the first round. It's so valuable to get picks with little lottery protections.

Number of Warriors fans posting about how they are so sick of this group and just want to get on with a rebuild. This Golden State team starts to go off the rails the next month they might seriously consider making some big changes. Starting to look like theres no way for this core to contend even if Draymond gets his act together. This team nearly lost last year by a young Sacramento group in their first playoffs, they got manhandled and ran off the floor by the Lakers, and now they look worse with Steph being the only legit scoring option.

We own their pick - we could probably flip that into multiple 1st. Here's pieces of a trade idea..... yeah NY needs to give GS something else too so this idea isn't finished (please feel free to complete)

Draymond/Wiggins/Looney could get assets in trades from other teams as well to rebuild.

Fun to think we either get their pick this year which is looking better and better - or we can really hold out for a massive trade return to give it back to them.

Dude that’s a terrible trade for Curry. They could get a lot more than that. Would you have taken that for Dame?

Looking for another loss by the Dubs tonight.

upload_2023-12-14_11-9-58.png

In their last game, the Clips blew out the Kings. Kings lost control after the first quarter.
Sacramento started the 2nd quarter down by 6, and ended the first half down by 22.

Trade idea is incomplete as noted in post I said NY needs to give GS something else. More showing Portland side.

I pitched the idea of sending Grant to the Warriors and in return we get them to unprotect their ‘24 1st, send us a top 6 protected ‘26 1st, and take Wiggins salary and Joseph’s expiring (if Warriors are 6-8 games out of 10th…this is important) around mid-late January on Reddit, and got pretty bad reception. What do you think about it?

I think that the likelihood of them making the play-in would be slim even with Grant if they’re 7 games out that close to AS break. They’re still a Curry injury away from blowing a huge stretch of games, Grant does nothing to help in the distributing department.

Those other picks could be lotto picks and it's not guarantee the GS one is.

Please post a better idea, I didn't intend that to be the final best option. More a thought that this type of trade could make sense.

I don't see GS viewing Grant better than Wiggins. Wiggins was key to them winning a title and is younger.

If GS trys to win now it's probably more CP3 salary going out.

what if GSW plays more inspired ball with Draymond suspended indefinitely? The Dubs don't have to worry about getting choked or punched if they screw up.

Not impossible, I guess. I’ll say, their current sample size without Green this season is 3-5. In the 3 wins, Kuminga had 12, 7, and 12pts. In the 5 losses, he had 12, 10, 21 (started), 13, and 7pts. If there was a time for Kuminga to showcase his potential, it’s now.

The problem of Klay trying to prove his worth still persists even with the Dray suspension.

GM Dunleavy interview, he's 100% confident the Warriors can bring Draymond back with angel wings & a halo.

The Knicks have not been a lotto team as of late, and are less likely to be so with Curry. I wouldn't gamble what could be a high lotto pick for 3 picks that might be in the 20s.

Also the spacing, if having a pick in 2024 is good since the other picks we acquired are down the road.

Discusses Draymond, their draft pick, Klay being benched, Wiggins sucking etc.

The headlock was part of a response to a scuffle where Klay Thompson had his shirt ripped off and Draymond thought his teammate was being accosted.

Draymond threw his arm at Nurkic's head for nothing.

He wasn't protecting anyone, not himself nor a teammate.
What!?!?
He was obviously trying to pirouette... Okay? And... Nurk got in the way...

So, how much Toradol do the Warriors need to help Draymond with his predicament? Maybe Portland still have some they can send them in true NBA holiday solidarity?
