They trailed the Thunder by 42 points in tonight's game (110-68 and 112-70) and lost 120-92.

What do you make of this? It doesn't even seem like a borderline playoff team if they get throttled by what I thought was a borderline playoff team (OKC).

If you look at their roster: (starters) Curry, D. Green, D. Russell, M. Chriss, G. Robinson III ; (bench) O. Spellman, E. Paschall, K. Bowman, J. Evans, J. Poole, and D. Lee....
Why would anyone in their right mind think they're getting 47.5 wins in this season's Western Conference?

They have 3 good players and the rest is a Summer League team. They aren't even sniffing the playoffs.

I know almost nothing about their new stadium, could you elaborate on why it's a monument to inequality? (This is definitely not an argument, I just haven't heard anyone say anything like this about it and I am looking to be educated).

I'm guessing it's all about there being more money in San Francisco than in Oakland, and the Warriors chasing that cash just validates the notion that rich people are more entitled to good things near them than poor people are.

Briefly, new arena has two upper levels with cement floors and exposed pipes in ceiling. Lower level has thick carpet and artwork on walls. People with upper level seats can't even walk on those concouses. There is a lounge with couches and cocktail service for high price tickets. Warriors used to have loyalty pricing for long time season ticket holders who were there when team was bad, this is gone. Saw interview with one of them. He paid $750 a game for seat by the bench. In new arena he said he would be charged $1200 a game with no guarantee seat was equivalent, but first would have to pay a $75,000 fee. There is no BART service. Parking is $45.

This, of course, being two blowout losses to start the season, with the Warriors yet to even hold a lead thus far. The first loss — to the Los Angeles Clippers — was embarrassing, but maybe understandable: Even without Paul George, the Clippers have perhaps the world’s best player on their roster. But the second defeat, a 28-point loss to a new-look Thunder team that had lost its first two games, was alarming.

The supporting cast has been the problem. With six players on the roster who are either in their first or second NBA season, there simply isn’t enough depth around Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and D’Angelo Russell to warrant much faith right now. Warriors coach Steve Kerr once had the luxury of resting his all-stars all at once, since Golden State could chop deficits like a set of late-night infomerical steak knives. But without Thompson as a perpetual-motion off-ball threat, this offense clearly doesn’t have the same kind of firepower.
