Goodbye LaMarcus

It's funny: for all the torment this franchise has been through, we haven't had a big free-agent ripped away from us before (to my knowledge). When beloved players have left in the past it's always been by trade, or more recently, medical retirement. Now we know how the Orlandos feel. (Does Cleveland still count in this fraternity since he came back later?)

My natural instinct is to try to talk you down off the ledge, but this is getting quite exhausting, so,

Good luck, LaMarcus. Under the Drexler rule, you are entitled to one post-Blazers title. Best get it before Duncan retires.

You brought up that we've only been out of the first round once since we've had LMA.

Side note: I've noticed that you get a little upset when people disagree with you. Debates and disagreements are what makes forums fun. If everyone agreed with each other this place would be boring. Also we have a strict no personal insult rule here. You can attack what someone writes but not the person themselves. You've pushed it a few times in previous posts. You are a very welcome addition here and I have enjoyed many of your posts.

Just saw this; I wouldn't say I get upset with the exception of BlazerWookee.

Otherwise my tone is just harsh and straight to the point, I'll work on it.

We are all blazer fans I hold nothing against anyone.

don't hate wookee, he's just sad because his signed pair of size 32 LMA shoes look in danger of going the way of his Koponen Honka Espoo Playboy jersey. Everyone mourns their own way.

Hey, I'll take that jersey off his hands...

I would've thought you had 2 by now. ;)

Kobe Bryant is really cementing his "franchise poison" career stage. I guess it's too much to hope the Lakers re-sign the guy. One incredibly stupid contract extension to Bryant is probably all they're good for.

How's he gonna do that? Parker/Manu/Duncan are all older than dirt. So you think Kawhi and LA will be enough to propel them to greatness?
Lamarcus would be crazy to go to San Antonio because they traded their center to get the cap space to sign Lamarcus with the intention of moving Lamarcus to center because they do not have a center anymore and Lamarcus does not want to play center. I now think Dallas is back in the picture after signing Deandre Jordan away from the Clippers. Not sure about the cap space issues.

Dallas doesn't even have cap space for Wes and deandre without renouncing people.

Good luck getting LMA

I spread his ceremonial ashes down at the local sewer treatment plant. It was very cleansing.

On Rip city live they did a series of whether LA was a top 5 player in team history, and it was up to Dwight, and Dwight chose a tip 5 of Clyde, Walton, Petrie, Sabonis and someone else I forgot (not aldridge). I think he's totally right. LA is probably the 4th best PF in team history, after i Lucas, Buck and Wallace. But Cliff Robinson would be really close to him.

Grant, Pippen are clearly better in my opinion, then some questionables could be...

Detlef Shrempf
Shawn Kemp
Randlolph
Oneal

These guys were just as good, if not better players, just didnt stay long enough to have the numbers.

I think any and all of the combined players listed above all have better career numbers if they played the years and minutes LMA did with the same lineups.
