...just in time to lose Rubio and probably get stomped by Houston.Goodbye OKC! The multi glow color Jazz have emerged.
Roberson hurts the team in playoffs though with his atrocious free throw shooting. See last year. He made the 3 of 21 free throws.Who had the more disappointing end to the season, us or OKC?
OK, it's us. But it's close. OKC can at least say they had a starter out, and though most people will say that Andre Roberson wasn't the difference - he clearly was.
I think the NBA likes to see a series go to six or seven games. Much more revenue from a six or seven game series, which is why they extended first round series from best of 5 to best of 7.
They just did it with OKC/Utah. Westbrook should not have been playing in that deciding game five..... but he did.
I think refs can easily control the ebb and flow of a game by putting specific players into foul trouble and calling specific violations at key moments. We have seen this repeatedly over the years. The Kings/Lakers series was probably the most obvious example, but we have seen others.
The refs almost did it to us in our series against Houston, but Dame hit a ridiculous shot that ended the series.

I would say the team that mortgaged their future for a first round exit. By the way, we had a starter out as well.Who had the more disappointing end to the season, us or OKC?

Crazy how that fact gets missed?I would say the team that mortgaged their future for a first round exit. By the way, we had a starter out as well.

Paul George and Russell Westbrook were guarding him that whole series..I think Pelicans would have dismantled either one of those teams as I wasn't that impressed with either team in their series. Mitchell was amazing and reminds me a lot of Lillard, but he would have a tough time against the guard tandem at New Orleans if they employed the same game plan as they did against us.
I don't like OKC . This is especially satisfying. Ras: For the Houston series, I'll bet the Jazz actually win a game....just in time to lose Rubio and probably get stomped by Houston.
I'm not sure the answer is us?Who had the more disappointing end to the season, us or OKC?

No, I'm asking you to give me a list of options. Because I just don't see there being a huge market. I'm not denying he's got great talent and I have dreamed about getting him in the past, but the fact that his team is playing better without him (okay, not so much last night maybe) isn't going to be a huge draw.So you don't think a team will try and sign him?. Let's check back this summer and review it then.
Yeah, the same guys guarded Lillard during the season when we swept OKC 4 straight.Paul George and Russell Westbrook were guarding him that whole series..
Wes Mathews got a 17mil contract with basically the same injury. Like I said before, we will see this summer. No, I'm asking you to give me a list of options. (Not forgetting he's coming off an injury that used to be a career-ender.)
You know, we, in the NBA, plan out each playoff series. You really ought to attend one of our regular Wednesday meetings.I think the NBA likes to see a series go to six or seven games. I heard it was $20 Million not $17 Million.Wes Mathews got a 17mil contract with basically the same injury. Like I said before, we will see this summer.

I heard it was either $16 Million or $17 Million until Jordan backed out and then it went to $20 Million. Don't recall the length of the contract. It was a 4 year 70 mil contract and it was originally a little less and when Jordan backed out so it bumped up Mathews salary.I believe it was originally around 15 mil.

Somebody on O-Live misinformed me.

So you think.. because Lillard did well against OKC during the regular season (he did well against the Pels in the RS too), and because Mitchell had success against bigger and better defenders in Westbrook and PG in the playoffs, that somehow, Mitchell would've struggled against the Pelicans? Am I following that correctly?Yeah, the same guys guarded Lillard during the season when we swept OKC 4 straight.

I'm saying that New Orleans wouldn't have been able to run the same defense because Mitchell doesnt run much pick n roll, because the Jazz pass, cut, drive, and dish at a decent rate, and because Mitchell is used off the ball more (at least when Rubio plays).Never said that. Read what I wrote and leave it at that.

Would have been awesome to see that this year, and have them play for the Jazz naming rights. Hehe. One thing we know for sure and that's nobody knows how a Pelicans Jazz series would play out so projecting results means nothing.

Now that would have been interesting. Then Utah would have to become the Pelicans?, lol
