I've had my chicks (well ducklings into ducks) for a year (plus a week). They started laying eggs around at 18 weeks and have not stopped since. I got one egg per duck per day. Didn't even bother slowing down for winter.

When I was a young boy I had chicks eating out of my hand. Everywhere I went they went. I'm the one that kept them hot.

I use to eat duck when I was younger and often ate in Chinese restaurants. Can't say that I could eat one of the cute little things now. I also once ate rabbit and I don't think I could do that again, but maybe.
