It is $260, but you can go to court to get it reduced. The judge will clearly explain the process before everything starts. Plead guilty or no contest (does not matter), and I think it gets reduced by 20%.

I heard here in Houston the fines increase with each offense until finally they suspend your license for driving in the HOV lane. If you have a fake person in the car and they catch you your license is suspended right away.

Well, first off, admit you were wrong. And if you have a spotless record, point that out. Even if you say "I lost track of time", point out that it's still no excuse and that you were in the wrong.

And whatever you do, don't mention fingering the football coaches daughter, or how you apparently bang all sorts of honnies while driving your route. And most importantly, do not mention the words "Gonzaga" "Morrison" or "Olynyk" unless you want a bigger fine.

Also, say the word (or type the word) "Tubalcain"
