I'm speaking of the L.A. Lakers.

And I just wanted to say it because if this was true of US, people (specifically) would say that we're not a playoff team.

But it's on the Lakers' resume and they look like a lock to make the playoffs.

So my point is, don't panic after a bad loss. We're having a great season and I LOVED watching us kick the crap out of the Spurs (with Tim Duncan.) We're a playoff team and only 2.5 games out of the #2 seed.

I love this game.

Believe Harder.

I'm with ya. That game last night against the Spurs was a thing of beauty. It's probably the best offensive performance I've seen from the Blazers this year. Roy and Aldridge were magnificent. I hope that beating Duncan and Co. gives the Blazers some badly needed confidence for the stretch run and the playoffs.

A nice offensive performance, yes....but I think it was perhaps the best defensive performance of the year.

Notice that a Laker got Western Conference player of the month, and it wasn't Kobe? Of course, the new, mature Kobe won't mind that at all. It would be funny if the Lakers won the title (okay, that part wouldn't be funny) and Kobe didn't get finals MVP.

while i agree KS that we shouldn't get too down after a bad loss but we should also not over extend our expectations when we win either.

No problem there.

We thumped the second best team in the west last night, (In a "must win" situation ) and there were three threads going about Oden's injury. (LOL) Cocky we are not.

Amazing what playing on your own court will do for confidence. The Blazers were so intimiated in San Antonio that nobody wanted to take a shot at the end. In the Rose Garden they were fearless.

We're not winning the championship this year but I sure am excited about the Blazers progress this season. They're actually holding their own against the elite teams at home... that's a huge step to me when it comes to contending in the future. I'm kind of looking forward (with my fingers crossed) to the Lakers playing in the Rose Garden, should be a good barometer for how much they've progressed.
