You can't look too closely at Meyers's arm or you'll see Cthulu creeping in from another dimension, but these have been fun so far.

I don't think there are any more so this is actually a relatively new thing they are doing.

The old footage of Sabonis when he was younger makes me sick to my stomach. Just the reminder that he could have played with
Clyde, Terry, Jerome, Buck, Petro..........still fucking pisses me off.

Yup. Add Sabonis to our team and there's no chance in hell we lose to the Bulls or Pistons.

Yeah, me too. Michael Jordan should send Sabas a bottle of his favorite vodka every year for that one. With a healthy Sabonis on the Blazers in that era, Jordan would be lucky to have 2 rings.

And Jordan wouldn't be known as the greatest to ever play the game. Crazy how one small change completely rewrites history.

My stock line is "it would have been Clyde standing on the press table waving three fingers in the air, not Michael..."

We already have Leonard/Sabonis and the obvious Aldridge/Sheed and PtldPlatypus beat me to Rolo/Walton, so here's my request for the remainder of our season ending roster:

Lillard/Strickland
Wes/Clyde
Batum/Darius Miles
C.J./Drazen
Kaman/Dudley
Afflalo/Walter Davis
Steve Blake/Danny Young
Freeland/Przybilla
Wright/Walt Williams
Crabbe/Aaron McKie
Alonzo Gee/Ruben Patterson
Tim Frazier/Patty Mills

BGD/BNM

Strickland? Miles? Are you fucking kidding me?

Nope, I am not. It wasn't a list of my favorite Blazers, it was a list of players I'd like to see matched up against each other. Not the same thing...

Miles should be unpersoned, and Strickland should be threatened with unpersoning if he ever tells anyone he used to play in Portland...

There were lots of interesting potential match ups for Batum: Kersey, Bobby Gross, Stacy Augmon, Detlef Schrempf, etc, but I went with Miles as they had similar build/athleticism and both are/were frustratingly inconsistent - could look like an all star one game and completely disappear the next.

Terry Porter is the obvious match up for Lillard, but I thought Rod Strickland 1.0 or Kenny Anderson would be interesting. Plus, I didn't just want to pick players from the championship team, finals teams of the early 90s and the almost finals team from 2000. Those are the obvious choices, because everyone remembers those guys. I also think a Wes/Bonzi match up would be intriguing. They are similar size/build and both have/had good post up games.

Good call on Wes/Bonzi.

Neil Olshey/ Bob Whitsitt
Terry Stotts/ Rick Adelman
Paul Allen / Larry Weinberg
